paypal dispute, please help.

i bought a pair of flip flop on ebay. the seller said that they're 10/10 brand new and never worn. but i received them in worn condition. They're worn like over 10 times i guess. And they look disgusting. i contacted to the seller and told him that i want to return them and get the refund. but he hasn't replied to me. Quickly i opened a dispute on paypal "item not as discribed" yesterday . he contacted to me today and said that " I am happy to take the shoes back and refund you if you are not happy.". So what should i do now? Should i wait for the refund first and then ship them back to him? or should i have to return them first and get the refund later on from him?

Return first, refund second. That is the way it works.


In the dispute there is an option to "Grant a full refund" have the seller click this and follow the steps. That way you will have paypal on your side.

Return the item w/ tracking.
