Anyone tapered a straight leg pair of raws post-wear?

I've worn my Flat Head F310s for about 4 months straight now, but I dislike how big the leg opening is, and would prefer it closer to a Diesel Safado. When I wear the F310s with flat shoes, the hems get massively torn up.

I'm thinking of getting them hemmed up past the chewing and taken in a bit (they're currently 8" flat, my Safados are about 7.5")

Anyone done this to a pair of raws they've worn? Anything in specific I should tell the tailor to minimize fucking up the fades?

I'm wearing Samurai s5000vx with hem of 8.3" and my shoes are too big for them to get dragged under the shoe lol... damn legs..

I just tapered my SSK's from a 7" opening to a 6" opening. It can be done. However mine are practically new still, so no fades yet.

Then how do the hems get chewed? I'm a 44/11 or 10 in chucks and my viker/dior are both 8" at the hem. Even with chucks, they have no chance of touching the ground..

Weird!

Maybe stop wearing flat shoes?

I guess if you want to taper you need to start from the knee to avoid some weird looking leg opening. Also if you taper from the inseam it should not mess up the fades as much as the outerseam, IMO.
