if the universe had a battle of the bands, Radiohead is the only band fit to be reppin planet Earth. imo.

CUTUP and I saw Coldplay a little over 3 yrs ago and they put on a freakin awesome show. Unlike some bands, they actually sound good live and are enjoyably entertaining. I would highly recommend checking them out.

As for Radiohead, wicked band, but I have never been to a show. If you can't decide because you dig them both, just choose one now and see the other next time they make a stop in your hometown??

I'm not saying they aren't worth seeing live you should always go see live shows if you like the band. Just a word of advice though RADIO HEAD don't release too many records nor do they TOUR all that much as well. I've honestly been surprised at how social they've been over the last year or so. They only make to the states every 2-3 years and they ALWAYS sell out, they just came to DC back in May and those tickets went fast.

Cez is right. If you have the chance to see Radiohead, do it. They rarely tour. They sound great live and put on an incredible show.

i think chris martin from coldplay actually put it best

"I don't think we'd be anywhere if Radiohead didn't exist. I think we're like why Diet Coke was big. Because some people couldn't handle Coke. That's how I see Coldplay."

radiohead is the best band in the world, probably the best band thats ever existed, and the band that coldplay wishes they were

there's no probably: radiohead are not the best band to have existed.

i think alan mcgee put it best when he described coldplay as 'bedwetters'.

Uh, can you say Queen? Nobody beats Freddie Mercury.

Other than that, I like both bands. I'm sorry I'm not much help. Whoever you pick I'm sure is going to be good anyway.

freddie mercury was a buck-toothed supporter of apartheid.

queen are quite possibly the worst band ever

Radiohead is beautiful live. Definitely worth seeing.

Kings of Leon are nice too

The show I'm most excited to see this year is the Black Keys!

queen?

coldplay?

fucking pink floyd? the only redeeming quality of pink floyd is their oppressively shite music inspired punk rock as rebellion. all we need now is a nod to the wankerama of led zep

Dont forget that they also spawned "ambient house" by way of the Orb.

I don't think the OP wanted to know what the best band ever is.....
(which, btw, is Brave Combo LOL)

What's really funny is that I described Radiohead to my parents as my generation's Pink Floyd.

And for you guys that like In Rainbows and also have some love for hip hop, download the Rainydayz remixes... I guarantee you'll love them.

I voted for Radiohead. I think.

Coldplay is lame and cheesy IMO. They do nothing that Radiohead or Muse couldn't do in a much better fashion.
