It's called politics, a concept most people don't understand. I'm sure his fathers influenced halped him quite a bit in getting to where he is now. I'm baffled at how he got himself elected too. He won Texas and California,which are huge states and that helped swing momentum his way.

easy.......bribes and connections. You can't honestly believe he is trying to lift the off shore drilling ban in the interest of "the American people" The Bush/Cheney team have long standing oil and weapons manufacturer connections. Everything that they have done during their terms have ALL been in the interest of the "Big oil"-Bush's connections or "Defense contractors "-Cheney's connection.
