i guess the zippers are not quite dead (yet):

73H to 73J is like 71V is to 71J?
I'm not a zipper hater but the contrast of the black leather above the zipper make them look cheap. the wash reminds me of my Slammer 87J (which I'm wearing today), not entirely, but a bit.

IMO not the best Slammer out there

looks like 8bk without the abrasions and a little less fadin

This makes no sense to me.

If you're making a mild Slammer pair, make 73H the mild pair - give it plain pockets.

73J has crazy holes and distressing, but plain pockets. 73H is a plain wash with wild pockets. Does anyone else think this is stupid? I would buy 73H in a heartbeat if it only had 73J's backpockets, but now I'm not going to buy either. It just seems kind of redundant.

These look terrible...and I like how the back leg distressing sits about half a foot below where the model's actual leg crease would be. Very blah

And thats against a black belt and shoes, imagine how bad the leather would stand out without them!

x2!!!

Wouldn't those pockets damage a leather seat?

I didn't find any non stock pics, so here are some shots of my new Slammers from Yoox. (not worn yet). Btw. they are around 2 cm smaller in waist than the same sized Slammer 73J (kinda snugg, hope they will stretch some), but the rest is same sized (thight, knee etc.). Btw. I love them

Pics taken without flash, sorry for the blue desk (jeans loose some of contrast :-/)

worn pics?
Slammer cut is not bad but their backpockets are a no go for me.
worn (lazy to wear shoes and change tee)

^how about sagging a bit? maybe you should go with l32 instead.
yes, I sag them, but I need to stretch out the waist little bit. Regarding L32 - I like more stacking, there are just bunching on the pics (not adjusted).
^I don't think slammer looks good if extremely sagged...
the back area looks better when it is "fulfilled", don't know if you get what I mean lol
post #17 of 28
Nice fit man. I like the length. You def can pull off slammer well. Perhaps just sagging a little bit to eliminate some of the crotch-bulging-up-awkwardness would be a good idea. Its not too bad in the pics tho

OK, after one day of wear the zip slider on left backpocket is broken. What's wrong Diesel, there was no problem on older washes with the zippers. It's also seems to be cheaper version of the slider than on my 71J e.g. (pics). I already asked yoox if this could be applied as reason for return.

you can always contact YKK for a replacement too. They'll usually send em to you for free

zdenal_cz,
how stiff is the fabric compare to 71J/73J?
it's really thick and stiff denim, maybe comparable with 8IW (71J and 73J looks more "stretchy" to me. 71J seems to be even thinner).
thanks zdenal_cz
never tried 8IW, but if theyre stiffer than 71J, i can barely lift my legs up...
damn i really liked this pair.
is it just me, or contrast between black bands on zippers and medium blue looks kinda odd?
how is it irl zdenal?
it is a nice contrast- might look outta place in pics, but works IRL. THe denim will fade to a greyish blue tone so compliments well

Weren't those from a season or two ago?
