Viker 71B Size Question

First of all i DID use the Search, however need more info

i need advice from anyone who has tried on BOTH the Viker 71B and either Viker 71J, Zatiny 8DK or Zathan 71J

I know about Viker 71B running tighter than most Vikers, but if im a width:
32 in zatiny 8dk rather comfortably
32 with considerable room in viker 71j
32 in Zathan 71j that is tighter than zatiny 8dk, maybe a little too tight in the thighs.

do i go with a 32 in the 71b, or 33?

33

33 for sure.

My 34 71J are pretty loose nowadays, but the 34 viker I bought can barely fit into, shame because they're really nice.

Definetely ALWAYS size up x1 in 71B ! Regardless of the cut...

Damn! well, thanks for the advice guys.
ive been searching for a pair in 32 or 33 on ebay for quite sometime, and a 32 just popped up on there from ill-town.
im sure someone will read this and snatch it up lol, decent b.i.n price, too

On the other hand...

If your viker 71J fits a bit looser, so that it would be definetely possible to size down on them, you could probably also fit into size 32 in terms of 71B. If your viker 71J fits perfectly though ( At least for your liking ), you should probably go with a 33 in 71B !

True they usually do fetch a good price. If you pump some iron and want a 34x32 pair let me know, mine are in the mall, would match the ill-town price for anyone because they've just been sitting around doing nothing. Too lazy to put them on eBay.

i only tried on the viker 71j.
the 32 felt a little big esp in the waist, the 31 felt snug...i probably wouldve opted for the 31 since 71j stretches

i wonder if anyone with experience with zatiny 8dk and viker 71b can offer any more advice?

if only they were 33's!
pumping iron wouldnt enlarge my waist, maybe my thighs!

thx for the offer tho

I don't really believe in "sizing up" or "sizing down" for different washes. I wear a 30W in 71B, 72D, 8BK, and 88Z.

Get a 32, especially given that you have "considerable room in Viker 71J."

It may be tight at first, but it will give. Trust.

<- Same ( In the majority of cases ). For example, i never had to size down in any stretch-wash....

71B is quite another cup of tea, though. 71B is maybe even the tightest wash diesel has ever made...

- I wear a 30 in all slammers i've ever tried, but had troubles to button a pair of slammer 71B in the same size.
- I wear a 31 in all thanaz i've ever tried, but had troubles to button a pair of thanaz 71B in the same size.
- I wear a 30 in all vikers i've ever tried, but had troubles to button a pair of viker 71B in the same size.

"Always size up in 71B" is really true, given that your normal diesel size fits TIGHT/BORDERLINE.

For instance:

Size 30 in Viker 8BK ( Tight Fit ) = Size up to 31 for Viker 71B
Size 30 in Viker 8BK ( Normal fit ) = Maybe even stay with size 30 for Viker 71B

That means, if you have problems to fit in a looser running wash, you will definetely die a thousand deaths, if you try to fit in a pair of 71B in the same size...

But he didn't have problems fitting in a looser wash...

He said his Viker 71J with 32W has "considerable room."

Therefore, he should stay with the same size.

Ditto....I don't see the point in some ways though..

71B in Thanaz is tight, but only in thighs and leg opening, waist is pretty loose, I'd say even looser than 89S

So I think there is no rule for 71B that in every wash you have to size up, I think its Wrong IMO

Keep current size! I sized down on my viker 71b and couldn't be happier.

I have a 31x32 in Zathan 71J, and a 32x32 in Viker 71B... and both fit like a dream, for what it's worth.

my 32x30 zathan 71j's in the waist, i could probably size down, the thighs r snug however (muscualr thighs) but ya i wonder what the thighs would be in a 31 which is why i went with 32 waist
these are regular slim bootcut tho, viker's a straight leg so i dunno

i think i lost some weight haha...thanks to soccer...

I think virtually the only difference btw. Viker and Zathan is how it's cut from the knees down; the two cuts should (keyword: SHOULD) fit the same in the waist/thighs.

But, as others have said, it varies from wash to wash... i'd recommend going with 32x30 from what you have described.

really close to pulling the trigger, i think i just might

the zathans definitely have room in the waist, yet at the same time are snug..its like a paradox..maybe its a big thigh big butt phenomenon?

i wonder if anyone out there has tried on both the viker 71b and zatiny 8dk..and kept the same size
