omfg.

shit like this makes me want to learn how to use a gun.

This has been news in NYC basically since it happened. That guy should spend the rest of his life in a 5ft by 5ft by 2ft cell. Please don't think this sort of thing is common here tho, NYC is one of the safest cities in the country...
^ I don't think it's common anywhere, Ben. But it is awful to read about how fucked up human beings can get. I just read a story just yesterday about a horrible thing that happened in Italy...so fucked up people are everywhere. What really gives me nightmares though is when I read about crimes committed against children/babies... that's when I reconsider my being opposed to the death penalty.

that is just sick.

Julz I'll teach you how to use a gun.
That seriously makes me want to throw up.

Yeah, a gun or a tazer, julz.
I couldnt read it all, made me feel sick. Yeh its a fucked up world with a lot of fucked up people in it
post #9 of 147
i didn't read it all, either. i got to the part when he threw the water on her and i closed the window.

That is just another reason I am pro-gun. I think every woman should take a handgun safety course and purchase a gun for protection.

It doesn't matter how safe a place is there are psycho paths everywhere. I love NYC it's my 2nd home. I'm there quite frequently at least 5-6 times a year to visit friends & family for holidays & birthdays. I'm actually moving up there next spring but I'll be honest with you the "The Brave One" although an amazing film scared the living shit out of me. I am sure it didn't help tourism. What's even sadder is that this could have been prevented. This guy has been in the system a long time and it took 10+ years & something like this for him to be locked away forever. There is obviously something wrong with the court system.

There are no words to describe how messed up that is. When reading it I hoped it was some disgusting fictional story but wow that's terrible.

It's not hard, but it doesn't sound like it would help her in this case as she would've had to go get it. Now, if we had concealed carry laws...I bet he wouldn't have been so eager to attack her.

Anyway, that sicko's disgusting and shouldn't be allowed to breathe the same air that we do. Put him away for good.

It's amazing how she survived all that.

I hope the bastard rots.
Americans... Always quick to pick up a gun.
I don't think it really gives NYC a bad name... disturbing things like that can happen anywhere. What an amazing woman to be able to survive all of that suffering.
This sounds like some sort of movie or something. The world is a broken place, no matter where you go. There are some evil fucking people out there.

I wouldn't trust a woman with a gun, things like PMS might put too many innocent life's in danger.

Yep, that is damn right. I would be dead right now if I did not have a gun in my home. I would have been victim #2 of a guy cracked out of his mind that just bludgeoned a woman to death with a tire iron. You can stay gun free if ya want, but my ass will always own a handgun.

Damn that shit is awful. Poor girl will be screwed up for life. As for guns, Im not really for or against. I have however started to go to the shooting range, and its nice to know that I can work a gun if I really need to
