. Honestly, the only people I know who run Ubuntu are those who use it because of their principles (they don't want to pay $$$ for an OS) or those that want to use it to tinker with and love running low-quality, open source Linux versions of industry standards such as OpenOffice. There's no point in doing either if you're a serious professional, and switching to a Mac was one of the best things I've done in a long time. It really streamlined my workflow.
