You mean like engaging in two desperate wars to sieze control of Middle Eastern oil supplies, while simultaneously cutting taxes? You mean that kind of over-reaching?

My guess is that you were referring to the over-reaching done by inner-city black kids buying Jordans, but I think it's a top-down phenomenon.

ross, I agreed with you until you got to the black kids part... I really don't think that in particular was what she was referring to.

Well, usually when people like sultrysiren refer to personal responsibility and the lack of it, they're usually talking about poor people and minorities.

But that sword cuts everybody, even the GOP, the DoD, and the Fortune 500.

Thankfully, I use Ad-Block Plus on Firefox and have never seen a single ad that's been on here. I don't think it would be an absurd possibility that he would have missed that ad.

So what are your thoughts on all these idiot white folks that live around me with three mortgages on the house they can't afford and bitching about gas prices while they drive their pick up truck 30 miles to work and back?

Stop with the race card already. Its really fucking old. In fact I was talking about the type of people buy things they cannot afford. Its really that simple. People of all races do that.

Just come out and call me a racist already.

Ayn Rand's writing, although amusing and fun to read, puts forth somewhat of a classical straw-man argument.

John Galt represents something different for every generation.
He certainly enjoyed the concept of schadenfreude in any case.

Who the fuck cares what color you are we are all human. We all lie, cheat, steal, fight, bicker, and do whatever we can for personal gain. We are selfish and find reasons to distance ourselves from those we think are nothing like, but in reality have more in common with us than we think. We are all in the same boat some of us just have more money to spend on distractions.

Until you come out and say that black people are genetically inferior, I won't. But I'll continue to take aim at your thinly veiled racial and classist jabs whenever possible.

That is obviously something that you think, not me. Otherwise it would have never come to your mind. I was talking about Americans buying things they cannot afford. In no way did I have any particular race in mind.

I am not really one to hold back anything here or anywhere else for that matter. I don't even know where you got the black people thing. I just think its something you have chip on your shoulder about and you look for racism when its not there and cry foul were there is none, but whatever.

You know even Bill Clinton has lately claimed the race card has been played on him so that makes me feel better.

Sorry Ross, but do not dare to go there! that post about sultry (I don't know her BTW) is really off reality, I don't think you can read her mind, but instead post about what YOU BELIEVED SHE SAID....so is actually in your mind not hers.
