has HF become less popular? - Page 5

I have been a member for almost 4 years now, and I was very active up until 2 years ago with the giant forum split.
I still checked on HF and kept in touch with people, but eventually most everyone (except stubborn BEGRET who I want to marry) migrated over to Authentic Forum. I would still check the mall on HF all the time and list everything here. I've noticed that in the last year, I've sold maybe 2 things (out of 40 or more) listed in the Mall on HF. Everything else sold on Authentic Forum.
I guess it doesn't feel as much the small community as it once did- I don't know most of the regular posters now and my favorite brands/sections are way more active on AF (esp. TR & 7FAMK, and AF has a really great dry denim section).
I hope it's ok to be honest about that... I do miss the good ol days when there were like a billion posts a minute.

I'd just like to point out that some of the largest forums are filled with assholes that make HF seem (and really it is) tame.

oh i know- sfam jeans are as ubiquitous as american eagle at my college- i was just suggesting that the forum could reposition its focus based on user input and popularity. many other brands are still decent (i see alot of hot derrieres in coh) but it seems like they're becoming too mainstream. of course, the crappy stuff diesel makes (80% of their line) is becoming fairly generic now too.

It's much closer than you think, here in the states it may not be but if you go other places in the world you see much more Diesel than all the others combined.

I don't get how the new mall harder to use now that it is only one click away instead of two?

What HF really needs is a troll subforum.

Without getting into the topic of 'fun' at HF & why popularity seems to be down, I would just like to rebut the idea of a waning intererst in denim, with the fact that AF stats have over 200 online every single night.

nicest thing anybody has said to me all week, jessani!
I do miss a lot of people that are at other forums, and I do read posts and such. But I started here and I really only have time to submerse myself in one forum!
So here I am!

Also 130R is right, I think.
Levi's and Diesel worldwide are ubiquitous as denim goes. I would love to see stats on that!

Yeah, and they're all a bunch of fake-ass compliments.

That place sucks. Whereas HF is the perfect middle ground between the sickening courtesy of AF and the snobbery of SuFu

ross you look lovely today, so does your kid in TR.

I had no idea that people migrated over there and the times I have been there to check what's going on, nothing has been going on at all.

God are you right. Looking at AF waywt, the whole time, I see a pic and I'm like, "ok someones gotta rip on this guy/girl" then nope, they get hella compliments, which only fuels their clothing. Exactly what I'm talking about.

Then again, maybe they actually like all the things they compliment on, which is even worse.

Why is it wrong to follow the "if you dont have anything nice to say, dont say anything at all" theory? We could use a bit of that here.
omg, i just browsed authentic forum for the first time.
These people are about 2 yrs behind on fashion trends, and some of the stuff you see just DESERVES to be flamed.
[mod edit ]
TR's + affliction tee
If HF ever got to the point of allowing style like that to be acceptable, I'd leave and never come back.

this place is VERY civil compared to most forums out there. One of the main reasons I prefer to post here than most other fashion-related sites.

How would you like it if someone posted your pic on sufu to pick apart? dont do that again.
Also, how stupid would it look if we all walked around in vnecks and skinny jeans? everyone has their own sense of fashion and if you dont like it, thats fine! Theres no need to cut the person down just because YOU dont like it.
I hope this doesn't turn into a big AF/HF hate thread. I don't know what AF even has to do with the original question.
Oh please. You people take this shit way too seriously.
I've already been flamed on sufu for what I wear, my style isn't congruent with what they consider "cool" so I don't post there. It doesn't bother me one bit.
I'll agree w/ you though, that everyone has their own sense of fashion, and we're all entitled to our own opinions. I'll stick to mine, you can stick to yours.
The internet is a big place. There is room for everybody.
Hmm, well instead of making this a hate fest, why don't the people who say it's not as "fun" or "great" or ::insert adjective here:: offer suggestions as to what we can do to make it a better place for you.

Exactly!! If you don't like a forum, just don't post there.

I admit that I have gone to AF and found it slow, but I am not going to diss the forum just because it isn't the right forum for me. The point of designer denim forums is to share a love of designer goods and to help protect others from counterfeit goods.

I also agree with Kelly. I personally think there are too many people that are being negative and picking on others just because they don't like a certain brand/outfit. People need to learn to keep their mouths shut if they don't have anything nice to say.

I know some people will disagree with me but some of the attitudes with some members on this forum is shocking rotten at times and new/long time members aren't going to stick around because who wants to put up with being insulted in regards to smartass comments or dissing certain brands.

Internet is too small for me.
and besides, I joined HF to meet girls. jeans are secondary.

I want to Smash. Let me know

Whenever. Wherever. However you want.
