Connecting Visa Gift Card to Paypal

Is it possible to connect a visa gift card (debit card) to paypal to use like a credit card? Can you send funds using money from this type of gift card?

paypal doesn't even let me connect my debit card to my account because the verification number isn't working. they say my bank isn't accepting the verification, but it's a prepaid debit card from visa so obviously i have no bank that can verify the card. damn this is frustrating. any help?

yeah i did, it won't even let me get to the 4 digit randomized code stage. I can't even add it because the 3 digit code on the back of the card is "wrong."

This was just discussed in a thread very recently & the poster was also not able to add it to their paypal account.
