Hey ladies- check out the kids section @ Nordy's

I haven't posted in awhile so just wanted to say HI and let you know about a great deal!

I went in last week to Nordstroms, kids section, and picked up a pair of 7 crops. The sales gal said they are actually supposed to be shorts but they hit me a little past the knee. I've rolled them and they look cute (more like shorts) and could have them altered to be that length. I could also have the hem let out and they'd be more like capris. Right now though, I like the original length.

Anyhoo, they are $115 (the lighter color is $95). Sales lady said that next week the darker ones I bought, even though they are new, will go 40% off. The lighter ones won't be going on sale.

I actually ended up buying a size 10! in GIRLS! These are the first pair of 7's I've had that are tight in the butt- usually to get a snug fit, I end up with the length issue. They are not too tight in the waist so they feel comfortable. For reference, I wear a 23 in R&R- although Roth's are a bit tight in the waist for me- and I wear girls 14's (usually) in TR's.

Since I was able to go down so much in size since they are crops, even those of you who are not shaped like a child hahaha might be able to grab a larger size...I think they go up to 16.

Passing along the great deal for cute crops! If you buy now, bring in your receipt when the sale starts next week and they will issue a price adjustment! =) And if for some reason the sales lady was wrong, I don't think I'll be returning...$115 still isn't bad for the style, comfort and fit! We've had our first hot summer-like days here the last 2 days and I've been wearing them...they're great!

This is what they look like, but in kids. They fit me exactly the same in length as the womens' do on the model. Unfortunately they weren't showing them in kids sizes online. If Neiman's or another store has them, I can offer up the measurements from the 10's I bought to give you an idea on size. I guess the women's aren't that expensive (especially if they go on sale next week too), but if you have a hard time getting women's sizes to fit snug enough, the kids crops are a good alternative.

I have size 12 A pockets too! They were my first pair of kids SFAM. All my 7's and TR's are kids sizes. I'd probably have R&R in kids too but my Nordstrom doesn't carry them in-store. Maybe one day!

I tried on the newest pair of kids TR's last week in a 14 and they were big in the waist and long- or long for me anyway! (I would say they were at least 33-34" inseam but the next size down were about 27-28" which is way too short for me...grrr).

For tiny or shorter girls, kids is the way to go! =)

^ Tiff, the pockets look normal...exactly the same (proportional).

Mine are in the washer right now but once they are dry, I'll give waist and rise measurements on the 10's. You could try a 14. If you have a Nordstrom nearby, swing in and try 'em! The light wash didn't look good on me b/c of my coloring but they are cute. I think the dark ones are NYD (not St. Martins Wash).

Now that my crops are dried, I thought I would post the measurements on the girls 10's.

Across the back waist band: 12"
Rise: 7.5"
Inseam 14"

2% stretch.

when I go during the sale to get my PA, I'll see if they have them in 16- you might be able to do a 14 with the high rise. =)

I'm sure they are going to be swamped wednesday since it's the start of the sale, but call my store 425-455-5800. Ask for the kids department and see if they have the dark crops in a 16 (they have the "7" pockets). If they have them, see if they will ship to you since they aren't available online. I know they had a lot of them last week.

^ I don't wear shorts either but I'm totally digging these. Like someone else mentioned, I'm not sure if kids 7's go up to 16. I know TR's do. Nordstroms has some cute kids TR crops online. I'm set to go into Nordstrom's tomorrow. I'll take a look for you and put some on hold if I find any. Shall I bring my measuring tape lol?

Oh and about the size 16. Depends. I wear a 23 in R&R but due to the lower rise, the waist is usually really tight (when there is no stretch). But in the 7 crops, b/c they have a 7.5 rise where I'm smaller...I could size all the way down to a 10...plus they have stretch.
