So I'm still on the hunt for a nice pair of brown/light brown boots for my thanaz's.

What do you guys think?

If you want that York boot, get it in this color York at Barneys New York or a non-suede if you can find it.

That orange pair reminds me of Fozzy Bear.

OK, I can understand this to a point. But is it really something that one should never do?

Suede is a bit less dressy and more subdued, which there is definitely a place for...no?

non suede leather is no more dressy in most cases. often less so. especially after you wear them the way a boot is meant to be worn. shit will get distressed or you can buy them in distressed leather. suede boots make me want to slap a motherfucker.

I guess I am biased because my favorite pair of boots is made of suede. They're not the sissy kind, but rather a pretty tough western boot that I have put through hell and back. And the suede is different than the super soft kind that Oxfords and bucks are made in. But in general I suppose you are right.

@ri0t - Thanks for that link, those look much better.

@kubie - Those CCP boots are very nice, I saw a fantastic olive colored pair on SUFU a little while ago. I like them lots but at the moment can't drop 1k+ on a pair of boots.

@jskidder - I've seen the Yorks in non-suede but I can't seem to find them anywhere. I own alot of suede shoes & boots and personally wouldn't want to add another to my collection however the design of the York boot is exactly what I'm looking for.

I've only seen a single really good looking suede boot so far... ( At least for my taste )
Well, actually they're not fully suede, but 75% suede and 25% distressed. If they weren't sold out, i'd probably think about a purchase..
