do the spots on these fuck these up? I was thinking of trying to re-dye them either white or brown.

Probably won't be able to dye them white without them looking shitty. Brown maybe. They're ugly as is though

How much btw?
More than I care to spend ($295) but cheaper than the pair I really want ($470).

I saw those yesterday. Not bad the black is a bit shiny and the grey a bit dark but the white has potential
post #2389 of 2601
i personally don't like german army trainers, but the one above don't look too bad. don't like the contrast sole though
post #2390 of 2601
I think german army trainers look pretty nice, especially with the gum sole. I usually don't mind gum soles too much though, and they look especially good on that style of sneaker

Cez: Keep checking SuFu and SZ. I came across 2 pairs in the last month or so. They were both in the white & grey colorway and in a size 43 (which runs tts btw). One was worn a couple times and the other was brand new, priced around $250-280.

You might wanna check out the stockists because it's that time of year when the SS10 collections go on sale. There's actually a guy on SZ that's doing a proxy for the MMM VIP sale right now. I'm not sure if it started yet or not, though. I remember last year, Aloha Rag had them on sale for $200. I was a peasant at that time so I couldn't afford to kop.

You might like the "Adidas Samba".

I was gonna buy myself a pair, but I already have enough sneakers as is.
Yep, the Sambas are pretty similar concerning silouhette, but obviously cant compete withh MMM when it comes to details and materials. I own both btw.

I like none of them, but I am biased as I really hate patent leather. There was a pair of the classic white ones (similar to my pair) in the Yoox private presale section, priced very cheap at around 160 Euros. Even though they were already gone when I had a look into said section on day one, this proves just another time that one can find them at good deals. Hold on some longer and follow SFAMs advice.

walked into a saks outlet today and copped these john varvatos boots on sale for $100 (i think retail was around $500). i like them and they look really nice for the price i paid. leather is factory distressed, and quality seems solid. they also had the same pair available in a greenish grey suede. i think they look great tucked in. wore them with my 8iw's. the only thing i might change are the laces, they're a bit too thick for my taste. anyways, here are a bunch of pics without flash (they look like shit with flash since it's dark here).

sorry for the excessive pics, couldn't decide which looked better.

and as always, your opinion is valued.
Those are nice. Great deal on the price. I don't mind the thick laces.
DK, nice pick up on the varvatos, that is one slick lookin boot
post #2398 of 2601
Anthony has those too.

I think he dyed his black though
