Hi, I am wondering if these boots would work well with thanaz:

MOMA Women - Footwear - Ankle boots MOMA on YOOX

mainly 71b and 8lp, maybe sometimes 72l. I also sometimes may rarely wear viker in 71b (more casual) or dior 17.5cm/19cm with them.

How would brown look?

Sorry for the dumb questions, I have never worn boots before, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

^they would work with thanaz, but personally I'm not diggin them. the shaft and wingtip kill it.

3demon you can do better than those D&Gs at that price range, but I don't see anything wrong with them.

Ryanduke, there's a pair on sale here at Townshoes for 200ish CDN without having to worry about shipping. They are actually a light brown so I figured that they might work well w/ Farco/Thanaz/Zatiny. Im just not sure how oxfords would go with jeans. Also, I wouldnt be able to wear them with my suit so it cuts on their versatility a bit.

Anyways I'm considering grabbing a pair of Ted Baker Largos/Prestons/Rydes ATM.

At that sort of price is it worth getting a pair of those D&Gs? Or is it a better idea to look into those Ted Bakers in your opinions?
I would always go for boots over casual oxfords, but be warned that Ted Baker quality is shit. So is D&G, I've heard. If you're getting a good deal on these shoes or the largos, then by all means, get them. I'm not familiar with those other pairs. If the D&G are light brown then they will work better with jeans and won't look too dressy. Cheers.

I wouldn't say Ted Baker is "shit."

Maybe not the best, but def not "shit"
^^ Yeah, Sh*t man, why the call them Sh*t ? They're not sh*t IMO ! Sh*t.....
Ted Baker is awesome, but the quality is, you guessed it, SHIT.
Maybe Ryan typed wrong.i guess that he meant Ted baker is "sick"?
^Nope, no typo. Don't get me wrong, I love my Largos to death. I think the Largos are the ultimate chelsea boot for skinny cuts, however the quality just sucks. I can't complain because I got them for $64, but retail is around $300 or something. If you hold the boot and feel the leather, you'll understand why it's not worth anywhere near retail. I hope I'm clear enough

Saying Ted Baker is shit based only on the Largo is like saying Diesel is shit based only on the Zaghor.
^^ Yep, I mean they are ok for on season autumn/Winter !

I've been inside the Ted Baker store in Orange County and handled many-a-TB-shoe and they're not that special. The shapes are nice, though. Even the clothes leave a lot to be desired (although it could be that it's just not my style). Anyone who has a TB boot would agree.
^ I have two pairs of TB boots and a pair of loafers. I disagree Again, they're not the best quality, but certainly not shit quality.

I just get peeved when people talk about quality of something when they have little, if any, personal experience with it.
^You're impressed with the quality of those shoes? And you paid retail? I wouldn't say I'm an expert at TB but I'm no n00b.

Unless you have extensive experience with various shoes in the line, or unless you can reference other people who've personally experienced them, you just can't state for a fact that the quality is shit.

No, I didn't pay retail, but if you want a better quality boot like those Jskidder and others here are into, you will probably have to pay even more than TB retails for.
i've had several pairs of ted baker shoes in the past, and i absolutelty feel that for the retail price they are shitty quality. but given that they are easily found well below retail, i would consider them a solid buy at some of the prices i see them go for. i think that a lot of people see the retail price of $300+ for a lot of their shoes and assume they are good quality based on that, which isn't really the case. not that $300 is anywhere near the retail of a lot of the really, really nice footwear lines out there, but at $300 i would at least expect a shoe that is able to be re-soled and last more than a couple of seasons of hard wear.
^yup I would pay $64 for Largos again and again.
^^ $64 is a bargain ...I would pay that price !!
I just got them in dark brown
