The Boots and Shoes thread (w/ PICS) - Page 80

Common projects safari boots
Never tried these on and was wondering if it will look okay with stacking of straight and tapered denim.
Also, anyone know sizing on these?

Theyre fine with slim jeans. Sizing is similar to all the shoes that use those soles, especially all other Common Projects: they run one size larger, so size down one from your normal size.

Yes or no? Not that I really care, as I am almost decided, but I am interested in opinions:

^^ any top pictures?

JKS - how much those Safari CP's ?? i like them alot and where to cop?
No top pictures, atm.
@Von, I don't like the red stripe and the suede front toe. personal taste... . The extremely slim soles possibly would make them hard to wear (you feel every little stone beneath your soles) and dirt will be a topic after every walk.

@jks - I bought those safari boots in grey from yoox last week just to see if they look nice and how's the sizing with CP. Black is definetly the better colour. Canvas could be the better choice for summer sneaks.

Yoox as Tricky stated. Not too expensive at $98 compared to other CP.
Size 9 is running low BTW.

Yeah thx i found them, but no sizes left. i usually 8UK, but they only have 6 but i heard they run big, but how big ?
Stay with your Paul Smith size I think. Maybe one size smaller might fit as well, but thats unlikely.
^ PS i own are in 7, so you think i can get away with 6 in CP's ?
I took my grey pair in 45 and the size was ok for me. In PS I'm a 44, so I would say that you should stay in your PS size.

but wait, isn't there free shipping for yoox orders atm? So what do you have to loose if you just order them and send them back if they don't fit?
^^Depending on how tight your PS are and how much pain your willing to take, stretching the leather by wearing them in. This will take longer than wearing in a pair of jeans of course.
^ thx guys, i might just do that, but them, if they dont fit return them.

btw, what if i go with my normal size in them 8, are they too big then ?
Much too big, for sure.

@Ben: silhouette of those Dior sneakers is nice
I'm not a fan of the black band on the back tho
and as Nico said, sole looks very slim and thin
post #1995 of 2553

^Aldo: Black thing at the back is covered by jeans anyway when worn. And the sole being thin isnt a bad thing for me as I am searching for a replacement for my Ornitsukas as light summer sneakers.
yeah, slim soles made me think about onitsukas
and btw I'm curious to see them worn, post pics when they'll arrive (obviuosly, if you finally copped)

Tey look similar to Doc Martens, not very original or trendy IMO.
