Why is there a 5 page discussing on the purity of cocaine on a designer jeans message board...

Come on, it's simple:

Pure = $$$$$
Fake = Easy and cheap to make. Addicts don't care the purity of it. Easy to scam with. Usually has more worse shit mixed in than the real stuff.

Done and done.

Of course - hustlers will cut it with NaHCO3, strychnine, talc, boric acid, or anything that looks like the real thing. I know of a retarded bastard child kid that carried out a few mercenary missions against the leadership class in high school for me that went to costco, bought a bag of NaHCO3 and passed it off as coke to a pizza hut manager.

although i have never tried to sell shitty cocaine to a crack addict personally, i do watch a lot of cops and ive seen "training day" and "intervention" on a and e so i feel like im pretty much an expert when i say this to you. i do not recommend trying to scam someone who is addicted to crack cocaine with your mixture of aspirin and baking soda.

Sonic is pretty right, most of the coke and heroin that initially gets into the country, is very very pure because it hasn't been cut by the middlemen. At each stage, someone is wanting to make more money and will cut it with anything. Hence, some of the bigger busts (at the point of entry), doesn't involve a lot of "kilos" of dope but yet has a "street value" in the millions because by the time it reaches the street, it's been cut x amount of times.

true, and people pass this shit off too as the real stuff all the time. a while back, my dad's work got in trouble because the big wigs thought that someone from the lab "stole" a kilo of coke (there were 5 kilos total) and replaced it with WALLBOARD. well, turns out that the people that got busted actually were passing off wallboard as coke.... nice.

i've never done drugs and i think it comes from the fact that i see how screwed up people's lives become when then invite this stuff into their lives. my dad's been doing crime lab work for 36 years now and drugs have NEVER interested me, not even pot.
