Jean Recommendation PBJ vs. Skull vs. Somet

Hey guys I'm in the market for some new raw denim and I've narrowed it down to the following:
PBJ XX-005
Skull S5010XX 6x6
Somet 003
Out of those 3 which one would you get and why? Which ones are better quality? and which ones will fade better.

They're all pretty different. The PBJ denim is really unique stuff, but it's harder to fade out. I'm not a huge fan of the somets so I guess I'd have to say Skull seconded by PBJ

pbj will hold up better than the skulls, and i think they are much nicer having owned both. from what i have seen they aren't any more difficult to fade than skulls at all. curious as to why you aren't considering flathead 3001/f310 though, since they are similar in fit to those you mentioned and if you are looking for fades are probably the best bet for that.

I would consider flatheads but I want something w/o any design on the back pockets

VERY easy to remove. and they may still have some older 3001's that have blank pockets (stitching already removed) sitting around as well.

Strongly consider Flathead and just remove the stitching...one of the best fades I've ever seen.

then SD'A, PBJ, Skull and Somet

I'm a dry denim noob, but personally i'll go with PBJ 005's, since fading isn't that important to me and i like the cut...

I don't mind the cuts of all of them except the somet since I haven't really seen anyone wearing those.

About the jeans "holding up", the Skulls and the 3001 Flatheads use 100% cotton threads. If you plan on doing rough, "abrasive" activity in the jeans, the threads might start to fray easier. I have had no problems with the stitching on my Skulls though.

the threads on the F310 (the newer 3001) are stronger though, right?

My Nudie Straight Sven Dry Selvage are holding up pretty good, but there are signs of an eminent crotch blowout which is what I want to prevent in my future purchase. I'm assuming that all of the above (flathead, skull, pbj, somet) are higher quality than Nudie, right?

Well, yeah. That doesn't mean that you are 100% crotch blowout proof though.
