yea, you can see how the new pairs are also a lot darker than the original batch...if this was last year (when I loved the 71J) I def would have had one of the new pairs as well...good stuff!

wow, makes me recall how shitty my 71js are. Mine are from the earlier batches, but are pretty washed out, so most of the contrasting and the cool little details have faded.

Too bad jjdenim doesnt have any really nice ones in my size.

So i just got these today [from texasplayer]. The wash is awesome! (of course) however I think I might not have sized down enough...dammit!












So nice though!! i think I might keep them and hope they don't stretch out too much (probably false hope GRRR)

You didn't size down enough and you bought the wrong cut. Those jeans make you look like a chick. It's too bad, because I really like the fact that that pair has no holes to speak of.

What size are those? If you haven't already taken the tags off...don't! You should really sell them and wait for something in your size (and IMO, another cut). You're too big in the waist/hips/thighs to wear this cut properly...but if there's one thing I have learned in my time here at HF, it's that nearly everyone who insists on wearing the wrong cut is wearing Zathans.

I don't think they're too big... they look pretty tight in the thighs and lap already... If they were any tighter, they would look even more like girl's jeans...

I think they look perfect... I also like that they have almost no holes.

Well 71j's stretch at least 1 or 2 sizes, so they're gonna get looser.

I won't be the first to say it. Your hips are way too big relative to your waist, and the flare of Zathan just accentuates that. Try Viker instead

^ probably straight leg. Bootcut gets tighter at the knee then flare out so it accentuates your hips.

But then I'm no expert.

hmmmm....if you untucked your shirt and put your arms down then I don't think it would look as bad. Holding your arms up like that just accentuates your lat's and gives you that feminine "hourglass" figure (see pic 3).

71J is the only Viker that has them... I particularly like Viker 72D and 88Z, but there are plenty of Viker washes to choose from now.

People need to actually try Viker 71j on ... When they are worn you can hardly tell, it just looks like a grey pattern, and shit no one ever hardly complains about Thanaz 71j's back pockets ...

I think alot of it is because a few members said they were sea horses when first posted and since then everyone has been scared to try them

Thats true, viker 71j is actualy really nice, adam looks great in it, its not even sea horses anyway its dragons im pretty sure after close inspection, but you cant really tell it does just look like a pattern.

These have to be among the worst 71J I've seen in terms of wash--no striations / no white powder / and rips instead of the distinctive bullet-holes...if you want basically the same wash without the holes opt for a 71V as its got way better back pockets as well...I know the 71J tends to be seen as overdone (as I'm into raw / dark washes)atleast IMO, but if you're going to get a 71J then get a REAL 71J if you want your money's worth...

Viker / Safado...both have the 71J wash and the Safados tend to have the more "alive" 71J washes...

ALSO size down at least 2 maybe 3...

If JSKidder sees this thread he's going to puke...
