Shopping ban, anyone care to join? (May shopping challenge... Are you game?) - Page 4

I fell off the bandwagon again.. Just contacted EmeraldStar about two tops she has in HM. I guess it's not too expensive, $19 for 2 tops. I'm beginning to think I just need to give myself an allowance of x dollars per month. I'm not sure if I can make the commitment to buy nothing.

Sigh................

There's a pair I really want ending in 18 hours and they're only at $6 right now. I set my sniper low, but I'm going to feel like I fell off the wagon if I win them. I guess I'll just say I have to sell $1100 of my jeans if that is the case.

I have the worst willpower when it comes to clothes and purses. But I don't spend my money on fast food, booze, makeup, and coffee like other college students.

So the joes are authentic- YAY! and only $15 shipped I'm still mad about the previous missed SFAM BIN, but I think I'll really like the sigs. I'm going to get back on the bandwagon though! Pressing the restart button...... and......

NOW!

OH! I got my new coach bag today, it's soooo cute!!

Is it considered breaking ban if I buy my 2 year old some R&Rs?
^aww! i say no as long as you post up pictures

confession: i contacted someone on AF about a pair of COH wimbledons, but they're at a GREAT price. haven't paid/heard back from yet, but this was a deal i just couldn't pass up. i already passed up a ton of other great deals and i'm cutting out my weekly trips to the nail salon (still sporting last week's chipped manicure... sigh), so hopefully this one purchase will be an anomaly.

Yes. You're breaking it. Your CC needs the money more than your daughter needs the jeans.

I will try that as well, but I'm not too sure if that tactic works well on me. I always put things on my eBay watchlist, give myself time to think about them and forget about them. But whenever I scroll through the list later on, I always find some reason to justify the purchase of each one, and decide i want them all.
Maybe I should just restrict myself from putting things onto my watchlist.

On the side: This doesn't count as shopping exactly but does cost a lot of money. I'm thinking of starting singing again, but lessons will cost $100 per week. I'm not too sure if I can justify that, especially since it might lead me to the middle of no where again. Would spending that much money count as breaking my spending/shopping ban? =/ Should I wait it out until I have more spare cash?

LOL! You ladies are all crazy!! I love your shopping bans! You still shop while on a ban, now thats how you do it! I guess I will join your "ban" I bought 4 pairs of jeans in the last 2 weeks so I will STOP...until I find another good deal. hee hee!
yeah i guess i should have joined this ban since i havent been able to use my paypal acct (i used my paypal debit card...and the stupid transaction hasnt cleared after TWO flippin weeks).........therefore i havent been able to purchase anything on ebay or here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHH ive missed out on SO many great deals.

on a good note: i went marshalls the other day to break this shopping ban that i wasnt supposed to be on and picked up my first pair of hudsons. i enjoy them a lot!

^^I Love Hudsons....

Ekkkk I'm about to break ban already, somebody stop me, but they are R&R Foam crowns and I don't have any crowns WAHHHH!!!

$100 a week for singing lessons seems like a LOT of money....IDK I don't think I'd do that....
dont buy the crowns, dont buy the crowns
We're a bunch of fail.

Who hasn't bought anything since joining this "ban"?
Aww so it turns out the AF'er already sold the Wimbledons. I'm a little relieved, but at the same time really bummed at missing out on $47 shipped Wimbledon Kellys.

But at least I still haven't bought anything... kind of. I got another manicure today after finding out I couldn't get the Wimbledons. :P

As a little incentive to those that stick with the ban....

I'll send you a pack of Godiva chocolates if you can stick it out for 2 weeks starting today.

^ahhh she did!!!

BUT i'm going to stick to the ban this time. it's easier to say 'No' this time around since she priced them a lot higher than her previous pair.

and +1 to Annie for being such a sweetheart

I'm in the process of selling my St.Petersburg As It's really sad. I will NOT try them on again, otherwise I don't think I can do it.

*Think happy thoughts of the irelands in the mail... happy thoughts...*

edit: I did buy a pair of NYD sigs for my sister for $32 shipped, but that doesn't count because I'm not paying for them and they're not for me. Yes?
I still haven't bought anything!

And, I sold one of my pairs of crowns for $200 (pink/lavendar crystal). I am really sad to see them go but it will be so good to help pay off some of my debt.
