on the topic of lv..

i can NOT beleive they are having ANOTHER price increse this thursday!! i mean, come on..really! what is the deal with all the increases? i think it is 4% this time!

i think i am going to get a wallet i want and then thats it for a while...prices are getting too out of control. grrr..

Barbie, I have to agree with you. When I bought my first wallet, years ago, it was for something like $220. I just looked, and that same model is going for almost $400. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think that leather has gotten hard enough to come by to justify almost doubling the price. I mean, sure, 4% isn't going to break the bank for anyone who's buying an LV, but that 4% added to the 300% that they've already done is getting a little ridiculous.

I say, if you know you're going to get the wallet, just get it before they increase prices, which is getting more and more frequent by the passing day.

^^ i know, someone else told me they JUST had an increase in feb!! i mean, it's a little here little there that adds up fast!!

that is nuts about your wallet and what it is now compared to when you got it!!

YIKES! A price increase?! Well, I guess they don't make enough money right now off all their products. First gas, now Louis Vuitton what's next???

out of all the ones you posted, I would get the montorgueil since it's the cheapest and it's a cute bag!! If you're looking for something cuter that's comparable in price, how about the batignolles vertical or horizontal? I have the BV and I LOVE IT!!

First increase of 2008 was Jan 23rd. Second was April 17th. There will prob be at least one more if not two. I believe there were 4 last year as well.

i got my epi zippy wallet the day of the price change and i was lucky elux hadn't changed yet!

i am still trying to be ok with the price of the wallet..lol...could have bought the Montorgueil GM for just a little more.

court, i love it now too after seeing it on TPF with members wearing it.

that is on my list next and before yet another increase happens..hopefully that won't be for a few more months!!

i vote for the epi speedy! and i say buy, buy, buy!
i have LV and chanel cravings. uugghhh. i just bought a 2nd hand LV musette salsa authenticated at holts. and she just had the straps repaired there. but what i really want is the trevi GM. *sigh* it's that or a classic flap chanel. one will be a grad present from my parents and the other will be a present to myself!
i need to keep saving up!
