VERO / Ebay My Seven for all Mankind jeans!!

I don't know if this is totally out of line to mention this here, I apologize in advance. I've been watching for a couple of weeks after a buyer of one of my auctions said she gave me positive props here.

Ebay has restricted me from selling (kicked me off ebay/suspended me) my Seven Jeans because of the new VERO thing. I ONLY sell authentic jeans and have NEVER had a negative. I wonder why Seven thinks I am hocking fakes? I never use their descriptions or pictures.....is it because my OWN pics have the seven tags in them?? I wonder if I'm being wrongfully targeted and wonder if I have an argument? I feel like a bad child being slapped on the hand. Anyone really familiar with the VERO program? What am I doing wrong?

It happened to me a couple of days ago......I was watching some real jeans and all of the sudden they were just gone from my watch list. Its not fair for those sellers whoe sell authentic items....I heard that if they see auctions that are being stared at a very low price it minimizes the brand quality....there may be many reasons??

I've noticed it a lot in the past week or two. I never watch more than about 10 7FAM auctions at a time, but I've noticed 4 of them have just disappeared in the last week alone. None of the auctions had the same seller, none were using stock photos, and none had a starting bid below $50. One was a pair of NYD Blue A Pockets that I had been looking for forever, one was a pair of NYEs, one was a pair of Vancouver Crystal As, and one was a pair of Dojo Moroccos that bombon had PMed me. Bummer.

I wish VERO was a diligent with the fake LVs.....

No! I'm sure it wasn't....yeah, my name changed...thought it was more appropriate - rather than having my real name splashed all over the place. I was pretty darned naive when I started selling....suppose I still am. Thanks and wish me luck

oh, deary...VERO is something I will never understand. Shouldn't they target fakes (especially those fakes going for 100+ bucks!) because people might actually be willing to spend good money on their authentic stuff? Since they make 0 bucks off the selling of fakes, why do they only seem to target authentics? They've already made their freaking money, why should they care so much?

I've started saving my watch list (with seller's names and item) in a file in case the items go bye-bye so I can try to still deal afterwards. Sad really.

Do you remember what you put in the description? I think i have been really lucky as I have been listing a bunch of 7s in the past month and none of them have been vero'd what I do is this:

1)Keep the descrption as simple as possible

2) Never mention it is authentic in the description(even though it is)

3) Don't take any upclose pics of the tags(I take one semi close pic of the pocket but nothing in detail showing the security strip)

4)Use original pctures

5) I always list the title with "7 seven for all mankind"


I think #s 1-3 are the most important, Good luck!!

They can VeRO items that have already ended, but you can still complete the transaction, they just advise you to not pay if you haven't already. I forgot that I had asked the seller of the Blue As a question, and I was able to dig up her response e-mail in my inbox, so I'm going to try and contact her and see if she if she is still interested in selling them.

Well....I think I've always relied on the fact that "I" know I'm selling authentic items...and never really tried to SELL my stuff. I never took pics of the tags or inside tags (unless emailed from a potential buyer) and never mentioned "authentic" until RECENTLY because I got so many emails asking if my stuff was authentic (which I kind of took offense to!) Never got too specific.....until RECENTLY when a dear loyal buyer told me I may get more notice if I list the "style" of jean in my title...which I never did before. Anyhow...it's sad and making me sick. Unfortunately, this is probably going to make or break my life at this point. I have a toddler, can't go back to work. This is heart wrenching to think this thing I relied on is being ripped right out from under my feet and I have no control. My paypal account has been unnaccessible all day.......can ebay do that too? I can't get money or anything.

I am so sorry this has happened to you. I think of all the people I have bought jeans from on Ebay, you have been the best seller. It pisses me off that you are being harassed when there are sellers of fakes who continue to sell. I hope things work out in the end for you.

Well thank you....I probably sound like a little baby..huh? I will figure something out....I will live. It's just going to take some major rework and some tears! I'm in a hole......my own doing, but not intentional! Live and love JEANS, right?? HAHA...trying to make light!

That is really horrible that ebay is doing that, I am sorry. I am not really familiar with VERO but it seems like 9 out of 10 sellers targeted are authentic sellers. Can someone cause you to get Veroed? I wonder if sellers of fakes are reporting authentic sellers? And why if ebay is doing this are they not giving your more information? I bought some great citizens dunaway jeans from you and they are a favorite pair of mine! You should sell your jeans on the honestmall here, I know i would definately buy from you! Good luck!

i'm really confused by this VERO thing...i used to use ebay all the time for expensive clothes, and never had a problem with authenticity, but my account got hacked. now that i'm using it again after 1.5 years, i hear news of some VERO thing. WHAT IS IT? lol. i'm out of it.

Its when Ebay removed items due to ay doubts on authenticity......I'm not sure what else VERO does but something like that.....I call it the jean massacre!!!

VeRO = VErified Rights Owners program. It is the program by which eBay complies with the DMCA, by allowing the trademark/copyright holders of any item to submit a sworn statement that the item infringes on their rights. eBay then must remove the auction. Unfortunately many of these companies don't know their legal rights from their ass, and the program is open to rampant abuse. Until someone steps up and sues these morons, also alleging perjury, which is exactly what it is to make a false sworn statement, they will continue.
