I don't think you have anything to worry about. It really depends on the "fit" you want to achieve to some extent. And with your size range, you can have a few pairs, with a looser/tighter fit, quite easily. It's a good thing honestly.

I'll give you my example : W26 are relaxed from the start - cause I am super small and skinny.  And so : I can only wear them as "tight" as Nito wears his new UMC on the previous page...  and it can get looser trust me ;)

Sure, it's all fine and dandy to look at the old luster add campaign, but in real life, versatility is key. Just break those in, enjoy the tight fit and get your shirt dress shoes and blazer out ;)

You definitely don't have the dreaded chicken legs / tight ankles. The upper body part will always relax, albeit I think it' ll stay tight, I am not gonna lie.

Thank you for much for your wise words Geshp. I was worried earlier that it might stretch too much as I wore it on the first day and it stretch out already to my liking. So was kinda wondering how much more it'll stretch as I'm usually go for a look somewhere in between skinny fit(like leggings) and slim fit. Comparing it with Nito's fit, I would probably size down for a slightly slimmer fit. (not to say I think his fitting is bad, I'm just used to my jeans being a certain amount of slimness)

And I think I jumped into the bandwagon a little to late- been lurking on several forums now and their Dior threads don't get updated often.

Well it's not a precise science either. By design, DH are meant to be rather relaxed and they do stretch, like all raw denim... Still your pair looks tight to me. I can see no wrinkle at all around your thighs that kind of things.

I have a sneaking suspicion :

I think you might freak out because of the waistband / top upper block  : the clasp construction really unique, but it's not as secure as a real button. It feels different, no matter what people wants to make you believe.

Anyways, if it really turns out too loose to your liking you can always buy another pair (and possibly sell this one back).  It's not ideal, but this is no Levis', you can find a buyer ;)

Hopefully this will not stretch as much as my APCs :x Any idea if after the breaking in, my pair's fitting will be similar to Nito's fit, or slimmer?

PS-ignore my weird hand gestures in the image below- was rushing to get back as I was using my phone's timer to get this pic taken.

Edit: Yes you could be right about the clasp... I'm so used to the buttons that this feels a bit loose at the top. And I don't think I can afford to sell this one back. The 2nd hand value of mijs drops at least half the price. I'll stick to this atm.

In my opinion, it'll stay way, way more fitted. I was no lying the first time around ;)

It ll obviously loosen a little bit more - you cannot expect a raw denim to remain that form fitting around the thighs and whatnots but you have nothing to worry about.

You don't have the "chicken leg" (which is the main issue people tends to have when they start to size down several times), and a very fitted upper block - even though you have started breaking-in the jeans !

What did you expect, exactly ? ;)

I really think you ll have the fit you hope for - not skinny, but tight (with no/minimal sagging)

@malaysian

I think the fit looks great.  The thighs are a little tight, but they will stretch out a little and be perfect.  The stacking will look better once the jeans aren't so stiff.

If you sized down one, I think they'd be too tight for raws.  In the future, you could get them tapered a tiny bit if you want a little slimmer leg, but for now, I'd just wear them and enjoy them.

Alright, sounds promising haha thank you!

Just curious, besides Diors, what other denim brands do you guys get?

What, there are other denim brands besides Dior?

I am quite partial to Diesel Black Gold... but it's not something you can rely on, really.

They are basically all "limited edition" and some sizes ( mine... :( ) are hard to come by.

They are not all good either .. ;)

Wow @ machinelearning diors all the way huh?

Btw guys- is this authentic? I think this is a Diors thread but I wasn't sure where else to ask. The price seems pretty good. Are they raws and any idea what cutting? eg 17.5cm?

Haha, yeah, about 60 pairs at the moment.

Do NOT buy from that seller Arantxa PV. He/she is a scammer.

Why "Nito's fit"?

Nito's fit as a benchmark. Needed a fit to compare with, I'm trying to get a slightly slimmer fit than his.

Why is it that 100% cotton is better than 98% cotton with stretch etc? Been reading several threads about dior washes moving to non 100% cotton.

Also, does the 17.5cm raws come in 100% cotton?

Anyone here that has shifted from DH jeans to Saint laurent Paris jeans?

I have bought a SLP MIJ raw 19 cm and SLP black 17,5 cm but I think that Slimane DH era  jeans are quite better than SLP jeans (very disappointed with KVA jeans)

^ i have two pairs of slp denim jeans. one grey, one raw 17.5 cm selvedge. dig the fit of the 17.5! if you dont mind me asking, where did you find 17.5 cm black slp's? 100% cotton? cant seem to find em anywhere. still love dior, just switching it up now and again..

well,in my own opinion,we cannot tell 100% cotton or spandex blended is better.it will be depended on person.different people will get different answers.

ones prefer 100% cotton material, while the others love stretch denim much.

Eyeq8402 I bought my slp balck jeans in slp madrid boutique; they are MIJ and 100% cotton.

You can also buy them in luisaviaroma; if you need information about sizes I have DH MIJ raw in size 29 and the majority of the DH washed sizes in 29/30; go for size 30 in SLP black jeans

Sorry Eyeq8402 but in LVR there are only in 15,5cm (incredible skinny model); go to SLP official page I think you can get them there.

lol @ $130 not surprising...

I got a chance to try some dior jeans yesterday at an outlet store. I tried both 17cm and 19cm. I def like 17cm better but both of them bunched at the knee. I liked the feel and quality of the denim but the bunching at the knee turned me off.

Where's the outlet store located? How much are the jeans?
