I've got a leaden sky mij jeans that is a bit too tight when I wear them now due to my thighs getting thicker now, any advice on how to stretch out the jeans?

Can anyone tell me how Work a Day, Rack Rail, and Leaden Sky fit?

I've heard that Work a Day is really slim, Rack Rail runs a size small, and Leaden Sky runs big. Can anyone confirm that?

I'm usually either a 29 or 30, and just want to get an idea of whether I should go for the bigger or smaller size in these.

Thanks

Just got super lucky. Spotted a 15 minutes old ebay auction for a BNWT pair of 2007 UMC 19cm.

Paid a lot for them but BNWT is excellent. Will post pics when they arrive :D

Very nice Nito. Do post it please. What's the size if I may ask?
^^ Maaaan that's one RARE piece you got there!!! Can't believe it's BNWT though... are you sure of this?

Anyway, I'm super curious to see what your pair looks like!! post pics ASAP!!

BTW, what size it was??

I recently sold my UMC 2009 S29/19cm on ebay too, I put the price at 600€ + shipping with BIN / make offer and a guy bought it without asking anything!! was pretty happy about it icon_wink.gif

How much did you pay for it? like 700$?

Hard to believe (I was skeptical too) but yes, they are BNWT. Even has the little '43' ticker for sizing left on the back. I paid $450.

The fit feels fantastic. 29" is usually a little tight for me now but these have what feels like a perfect fit for me. Snug but loose around the back. They still have that awkward stiffness of a new pair so have to break them in though.

I took some raw iphone Pics without flash so you can see the true color / contrast. Really beautiful wash, makes me sad that Slimane era is long over :( none of my 2013 pairs match up to this:

Awesome! Incredible for that price.

Aaaaahhh!!! now you got me JEALOUS!!! damn this pair is hella nice, 100% coton, not those elastane blends they make now...

I would say they're a little loose on you, they would fit wonderfully on ME ahaha ;)

And for that price man....i wonder what's the story for that pair... a BNWT after all this time and in a very popular size...not like if it was a size 36 or something....It's like those paintings they found after 30years in an attic and after verification, it's a Van gogh o Picasso...

I'm new to dior. So seeking some advice here.

For UMC 09, with the 1% elastane, will it stretch 1cm in waist after some wear?

They'll stretch at least 1cm.  I'd say mine (08 UMC) stretched around 2-3 cm.  They also stretch in the seat and knees.

I've actually been in the store trying on jeans with stretch.  When I first put them on, I couldn't close the hook.  After 10 minutes, I could close the hook, and after another 10 minutes they were comfortable.  So yeah, they will stretch.

If you're between sizes I'd go for the smaller size for sure.

That's great to hear, thanks for the feedback.

Also, that pair does not have any red spots on the jean unlike many UMC I have seen. Is it common to be like that? It does have the white paint on the back of the hem though.

regarding white paint - was your pair hemmed?

regarding red paint spot - was your pair washed?

or are you sure it's UMC? :-)

It's original length so the white paint spot is still there. For the red spots, seller said its from 09 season so that's why it doesn't have it. Based on my little knowledge of dior, this should be UMC.

yes, it's UMC for sure... and the red spot (at least my pair has only one red spot bellow right front pocket and it's hardly visible, see pic bellow)...

Those look legit, but the paint is quite different from my 08 UMC, which has white, red, and dark (black?) paint on both the thighs and lower legs.

It's probably just a typo by the seller, but shouldn't they be 2% elasthane?  Might ask him to show you a picture of the fabric tag.

Something about those looks off to me. The pockets do not sit right which makes me question authenticity, then there is the paint...

Thanks for the feedback zdenal and machine learning. And what do you guys think about the price?

@ nito, can you tell me more about your conclusion?

If you are concerned about authenticity, I would ask the seller for close up and clear photographs of the following:

1.  The leather Dior tag and size tag

2.  The fabric composition tag, both sides would be nice, but definitely the side showing 1% elasthane

3.  A close up of the front of the top button

4.  A picture of the small tag inside the right front pocket, just below the coin pocket

If he sends them to you, post them and we'll see.  If he doesn't want to send them to you, then there's probably something wrong.

Regarding the price, personally I wouldn't pay $500 for used 09 UMC.  If it were BNWT, then yes, maybe $500 is about right.

It's impossible to say about an open auction on ebay, but my guess would be that they would go for $350-$400.

Thanks for that value input machine learning. I'll ask the seller.

I would say it's authentic pair; that pocket "issue" - I would say it's because jeans are on the clothing hanger. But I would ask seller if jeans were altered...

The pair on ebay in a 09' and is totally authentic and not altered, I can tell you. A jean altered in the waist make the back pockets appear closer from one another.

UMC 08 have different colors paint spots but not UMC 09 that only have white paint spots and a red paint spot below the right pocket.

And for your information, I sold my UMC 09 a few months ago for more than 600€! icon_wink.gif
