How are those jeans better? They look like the exact cut as Dior Homme raw denim (17.5 cm), also MIJ, except the SLPs don't have the slash detail on the pocket (which I'd miss).

I got a great deal on the Thin Finn in organic Dry Ecru at Gilt Club. I was pretty happy with them but spending a good penny I was hoping I would get a great Nudie worn out look. but the crotch...

These jeans are one of my favorites, they are sort of western! I wear them when my boyfriend takes me country dancing. I will admit, they are one of the hottest jeans for any rodeo, country...

I love these jeans! I had wanted them for awhile, and decided to finally get them. The price is not bad at all considering the cost of most other premium brands. I loved the "moto" look of these...

Diesel jogg jeans are not exactly what Diesel tries to sell them as. Diesel tries to sell them as sweat pants that look like denim. The fact is they are denim that are soft like sweatpants....

Diesel really out did themselves this time. The Braddom is a regular straight leg fit that tapers down to a slimmer opening. The fit is very comfortable and the tapering really makes them...

It is true that are almost the same; but I compare SLP jeans not with former DH collections but with current collection (SS 2013); and what I have seen to the date about DH SS 13 collection is very disappointing.
I saw the new collection, and only the brown overdyed really caught my eye (look much better in person). The $900+ price tag was too high for them, IMO.

they look like "Clouds in the sky"
not retail, but check out styleforum.net in their buying & selling section under streetwear and denim. there's usually some dior for sale there.
new DH collection.
Nothing new; very dissappointing

Ahhh... haven't thought about buying DH jeans for ages.
Can anyone tell me the name of this pair, and any info they might have on fit? Not crazy about them, which normally means not to buy, but I wouldn't mind a light wash for some summer evenings; not sure how this light wash would look in 17cm, especially with all the distressing etc.
Cheers!
Hi guys
I've also been looking for this pair - I used to own them before they got lost while abroad - stupid. Unfortunately don't recall the name Immoraliste but desperate to find out myself - excellent for simple, well fitted, day-jean. Can anyone help us figure the name of these jeans out...?
Just picked up new Saint Laurent Paris raw jeans.
Definitely I will change from DH to SLP!! I love how they fit; I have bought in 19 cm;and they are thinner than DH.
I love them.
I also visited DH boutique to see new collection in person; nothing special; maybe one sweater but not jeans (same jeans, same models, same cuts but lots of them in colour blue; don´t like)

I got "raw" noir from SLP in the 16cm cut. They have about 2% stretch in them, so not a problem to wear. Made in Japan, cut is awesome. I really like the tag, too.
One thing I do not like...the zipper. Button flies are so much better.
From a interview to Kris van Assche:
YOU’VE CITED THAT YOUR DESIRE TO BECOME A DESIGNER STEMS FROM WANTING TO HAVE MORE CONTROL OVER WHAT YOU WEAR, AND YOUR REACTION TO PRESSURE TO DRESS A CERTAIN WAY. WHAT STYLES OR PRODUCTS WERE POPULAR AT THE TIME THAT YOU DIDN’T WANT TO WEAR?
BACK THEN, I REFUSED TO WEAR JEANS. EVERYBODY WORE JEANS BACK THEN, JEANS WERE ‘COOL’. JEANS WERE THE CODE OF A GROUP I FELT I DIDN’T BELONG TO.

Yes, he hates jeans.
DH denim ss13 very boring, at least what I have seen on luisaviaroma; jakes, clawmark...always the same.
In general DH ss13 collection looks good, but denim are very very boring; DH denim division is dead; we want a jake because jakes are an DH icon but if you haven´t seen old jakes I can sure you that you think that current jake versions are ugly.

Actual season if I'm not mistaken.
Yep, DH jeans are dead... All washes are 2% elasthane...no more jeans 100% coton with epic washes.
Only the clawmark stay in 100% coton and the raws of course. I'm so disappointed.
I loved the feeling of the 100% coton washes like Soulmate, As good as New (fav wash so far but had to sell it because too small), Mulholand Drive and many others.
UMC with stretch was one of my exception but I'm also going to sell it.
The washes I would still love to have that come to my mind are UMC 07, As Good As new and Painted Sky (also called easy run)
On LVR, what is the difference between "Used" and "Used Washed"? There's a huge difference in price.

"Used" is the designer-intended look that they created to look a specific way (all jeans will look like the same picture, the name of the jean design is 'used') and 'washed' means intentionally distressed, washed denim with areas that may vary slightly from a natural post-design wash..
Washing the jean slightly diminishes the original design, but gives it a much more natural look - and I the washed pairs are always softer and more comfortable to wear than the raws or unwashed pairs.
Save your money and go for the cheaper option - the difference is really just snobbery.

Just if anyones wondering, I wanted to point out some things about the SLP jeans vs Dior.
The cut is SLIMMER by a serious margin. Even the 17.5 versions are significantly tighter cut and leg than the 17.5 diors. They feel far too tight for me, so beware. Also they are now true to size, so if you buy SLP go for your normal jean size (not the usual Dior stretch margin of 1-2"). I am a 28 in DH 19cm so tried a 29 and 30 in SLP. 29 was like jeggings, 30 was fine in the leg but gave me that butt-sag look. The guy in the store told me his pair is about 2 weeks worth of wear and no sign of stretching yet, so doesnt look like the 29's will stretch out to fit any time soon.
As for quality of denim, the SLP raws are thinner, lighter in both color and weight. I do not like them personally. DH raws are still the best cut and quality.
Of course this is just my 2c, and this is only the first season of Hedi Slimane at SLP, so future can be improved - but I feel he has gone a little too far down the skinny look for what most 19cm DH fans are comfortable with.
to quote myself in the other thread... I tried a few pairs. They are no where near the quality of DH in terms of fabric and feel... and the cuts (despite having the same shape and masurement, roughly) just feel wrong.

I think it was a reference to this and this. They are the same jeans (black clawmarks), one is just from last season and the other is from the current.
Nito I bought SLP raw 19cm and I am very dissapointed with this purchase.
As you say SLP raw are thinner than MIJ raw. But I have to say that it is not true that SLP don´t stretch; they stretch a lot (specially on thighs, on waist they strecht less)
