Well, I think Beckham will look good not matter what he wears. But I think that since he has larger thighs (as any pro football -soccer for you guys in the US- player) he looks better with baggier jeans. And I do remember reading in his wife's blog (I was searching for some PRPS and ended up in there angel10.gif) that she doesn't like tight jeans on men at all, so I suppose that influences him.

For comparison, here's him wearing PRPS GTO (bootcut, actually he's worn much a much baggier model, the Impala):

And some RRL:

And here's he wearing what seems to be a tighter pair of Jakes (actually, the tighter jeans I've seen him wearing):

I was a dsquared fanatic time ago and what I could tell you is that dsquared jeans sucks; quality are very very poor and most of the jeans models are very gaudy.

In Europe dsquared is the brand all football players wear (toguether with a dolce&gabbana t-shirt; tipical look in which you try to say "look at me; all of clothes are expensive and with lots of logos).

My first post here.  I have been looking for Jake jeans (11 s/s or earlier) for some time now.  I want to get one in 19 cm bas, but I read from somewhere that Dior hadn't made them in 19cm until 11 a/w.  Is this accurate information?  I have five pairs of Dior denim and all of them are 19cm bas.  I'm scared to try 17.5cm.

Hey everyone,

I went for a walk around Notting Hill yesterday and found these Dior jeans in a vintage shop for quite cheap.

Could anyone tell me anything about them - the wash, the year... if they're even real?! :)

Many thanks

James

Hey all. I have only ever worn MIJ 19cm raws and they fit like a dream. Is it recommended to size up one from raw to washed for jeans MIJ ?

How tight were they when first purchased?  If they were skinny tight then yes, size up one for the MIJ washes.  You're assumption is correct that you can probably get away with the same size in MII, although as you know there is some variety in sizing so make sure you have a return policy in place or if buying used don't be spending too much cash without measurements.

I am looking for a 11ss Jake and have a question about the reference code.  It seems like it is 163D007TX995, but I'm very confused because I have seen 11fw and even 12fw with the same reference code.  Maybe the seller/merchants made a mistake with the season, but does anyone know if there's a specific code for 11ss Jake?  If so, what is it?  Also, what is the three digit number next to the reference code?  It's usually 50x (502 to 508).  I don't think it's the color code.

Hello, I am grateful if you could advise me how you made tailed or patched your Dior Homme jeans? Did you bond the thin blue patch in the jeans? What kind of bonder did you use? They looks so good. I am very interested in how to repair the jeans like yours as I need to repair one of my LVC 47501 in the leg position. Thanks very much.

Has there been any pictures out yet of the 2013 washes?

The ones I saw on luisaviaroma look like shit... I think the days of good washes like Jake and UMC are long dead. The new guy has some weird obsession with bizarre over saturated colors which looks really bad on denim. The washes themselves look really synthetic and cheap.

Also, I thought I would buy/try the Sky in my pocket wash since I haven't got any recent light washes. It looks really awful quality in real life :( The pocket looks like you stuffed a piece of fabric in there like some gangbanger. Looks rough...

I think you can see new colection on www.colette.fr; but only a few pieces. I dónt like what I saw on colette; jeans coulored (ones on blue another ones on red) but nothing special.

It is obvious that former dior rock and roll aesthetic is dead but the brand should considerer to care their denim line; becuase I think it is the line that gave them more profits in the past.

KVA don´t likes jeans; but DH shouldn´t be a KVA other line (like this own line); he should addapt to what DH is, and in DH denim line there are a legion of fans.

I like the blue sweater with red stripes and those moccasins, but the jeans, meh.
