Diesel jogg jeans are not exactly what Diesel tries to sell them as. Diesel tries to sell them as sweat pants that look like denim. The fact is they are denim that are soft like sweatpants....

Yeah I also dont get it. Especially with Dior. Dior's elastine is vastly superior to any other elastine Ive come across. This is true with the AW11 and beyond. I dont know about earlier than that. What is your thing about?
im not sure of the season but heres the link http://www.luisaviaroma.com/index.aspx?&gclid=CJHR-7eWl7ACFTMetAodaHBc3Q#getData.aspx|CallType=Product&prodId=06V38&des=4HH&cat=&gender=men&group=&vendorColor=NTQw&season=actual&seasProdID=54I
thanks
2) maybe I'm too sensitive but I think the touch of elastane jeans are kindda weird.
Yes, I know that may not happen in Dior. So I guess I'll try hard to accept elastane jeans. Prolly start from jake.

those I would either be your normal size or one size down. To be safe go with your normal Dior size.
oh yes you will be happy you did
Besides, not all stretch jeans feel the same. So if you've had a bad or weird pair in the past, don't let that ruin all of them for you

Workaday isnt thick.
In my opinion jakes are not thick as well, my slenders + fuzzy dream are not thick. They're all stretched.
Whats thick for me are rack rails, black and blue clawmark. They are heavy denim.
Oh well, thick or thin - its all relative. And this is my thought. Also .. I prefer the thicker feel.

Sheva, your Clawmarks are thick? That's strange but maybe different seasons varied because my Clawmarks are among my thinnest Diors. They are great summer weight.

I will have to find out for you later on. Also, about the Jakes. I think it depends on what season and where you get them. Saddock bought Jakes from LVR that he later sold to me. He said at the time they were thick. Then he bought some at his local DH store and said the denim was thinner from the store. I bought 19cm jakes from a french boutique and they were thinner. I just bought my new 17.5 Jakes from the DH store in NY and the denim is really thick. I have a new pair of 19cm that will be here wednesday. I am anxious to see whether this denim will be thick or thin!
no sizes for jakes on LVR for me =(
what are your recommendations for Work a day?
I saw 3 pairs of 12AW at the boutique. There are alot of maroon, Black wash with maroon fades.
NOTE: all are based on MY opinion
hmmm lets see if this is clearer. i guess jakes are considered thick denim, but because of the stretch i feel that they're thin. not sure if that made any sense. Just by touching the denim the jakes feel soft, the clawmarks are rough.
I have the hedi 07' blue clawmarks and KVA black clawmarks. The clawmarks are thick for me, especially when i sit down i can really feel the heavy texture, not so much with the jakes. consider 100% cotton vs 97/3% though this is not true for every pair, there are 100% cotton that are thin like the fuzzy dream. Anyways when sitting down, the jakes feel light and thin probably becos of the stretch. Also i accidentally dropped a spoon of ice cream on my black clawmarks, i immediately wiped them off, thinking they were gonna be stained. Guess what? it didnt even penetrate through the denim, it was spotless. With the jakes, im sure it'd be stained.
Oh marcus, i like the thicker denims. Especially the weight of the denim, makes it such a joy to wear them. It always excites me to choose from which pair i'll be wearing everyday.
doesnt bother me if its MII or MIJ, thick or thin. They're still top notch. If you like the wash, and happens to only be in MII or available to you in MII than MIJ, just grab them. If theres both mij and mii, than go for the mij.
Except for raws, its MIJ or miss for me.
I was chatting with a DH salesperson and he said that all their denim is sourced from Japan but some of it is finished there (MIJ) and some in Italy (MII). So...the quality of the denim is always top notch, but some of the particular washes are particular to the provence.

yeah the only real difference is that MIJ feels more tapered below the knee and the rear rise on MIJ is much higher which makes for a better fit IMO
thanks for the reply, do you have any ideas about if these will stretch out or dramatically loosen around the waist?
