Hey ant, was wondering do you own any MIJ raw diors? If yes whats ur size in raws? Also did you keep your same size for the 08 umc's? thanks

I stuck with the same size, because I feel the waist is similar, but the MIJ Raws are tighter in the thigh.
I think you should just stick with the same size.

Also, everyone this pair is from 2008. 98% cotton.

if you know your mij raw size, the general rule is to stay with that same size for mii washed and size up one for mij washed. though i'm sure that question will still be asked again many times.

james. are you planning on washing your sheers anytime soon? my shrank like...nearly 2 sizes. fit pretty skin tight with a ton of stretch now

^not for a long time. i don't wear them all that much so i don't see them needing any more than a quick hand wash every 8-12 months. that is good to know though. i will probably was in cold water and hang dry given that info.

haha yea...well the way they were before, they stretched way too much in the knees and looked pretty horrid on me until after the wash.

i think i am going to tailor them first. will probably tailor my umc's as well. the mii jeans are too wide at the opening so i'm planning to skinny them up a bit.

I believe I read on sufu that having the 21cm tailored to fit like the 19cm was a simple job?

^ it doesn't sound too hard to do tailor-skill wise. i'll let you know since i'm having my 21cm tailored to a 20cm. i'd be more nervous about it if my tailor didn't have a chainstitching machine, though

i'll post pics and such.

it is very easy to add taper to the leg of any jean or to reduce the hem opening. turning a 21cm into a 19cm is a whole other story though. slimming the lower leg only involves opening up and slimming the jeans from the knee down, but changing the entire leg fit is trickier because you need to start all the way up at the thighs.

and regarding sigmatic's chainstitching comment, only the raw diors are chainstitched. the washed jeans are not so any tailor can open the hem on them and put it back together as they were. actually, some seasons of the raw denim are not chainstitched, mainly the older ones.
