I sticked with my thanaz size in MIJ raws, and I could have sized down to W29 but first wearings would have been a real pain...

it depends on how tight you want them post stretch

and btw, looking at your physical constitution, I'm not sure you could size down in MIJ raws
what size do you wear in thanaz? 31?
diors are killer in waist
32 in Thanaz
Dont size down! Same size or a size up. Depending on how tight/loose your Thanaz fit you in the waist. Same size will be similar in thighs and calves but much tighter in waist and hips. Size up will still be tighter in the upper block but a tad more relaxed in the calves and thighes.

^IMO

I'd stay with 32 if it's the first pair of diors you're trying

but I highly advice to go to a shop and try putting them on if possible
it's not easy to determine correct sizing on diors without doing that

I second that.

anyone has experience in tapering 19cm a tad?

I'd be tempted to do that on a couple of pair, but I just don't want to fuck up the cut
maybe going to the dior boutique would be better, but I'm afraid it would be quite pricey...

Love your MIJ fit? I thought about it as well. But I thought about hemming them as well.

I think I wont do one nor the other. MIIs just asrent skinny nor tapered, theyre slim. I live with it and buy other stuff for skinnier times.
I can see your point

not wanting to hem, just to taper

the fact is the UMC pair I copped is W31
waist is surprisingly more little than the other W30 I have
and thighs are more or less the same
but leg opening follows the general rule of 19cm
so it is 18.5cm, 0.5 cm more that the other pairs I have

and it bothers me a bit!

^Cesar: One more reference: My DDG is a size 30 and my new MIJ raw is a 28. They feel similar regarding slimness in the thighs, knees and calves. But MIJ feels maybe three sizes smaller in the waist and hips... (Reference is brand new MIJ and recently washed DDG)

That might be different for sizes beyond the 30, though, as my smallest Thanaz size is 28 as well. Sizing up 2 on the DDG lead to something thats similar to standard Thanaz in the thighs, calves and hips and a tad wider in the waist.

Members that wear Thanaz above the 30 mentioned sizing up for DDG raw didnt work for them. Keep that in mind.

^Evil: I see your point. I would just live with it, atm. I might change my mind again though... Btw. I was only considering one alteration at a time. Hemming then tapering and then hemming again. Hemming plus tapering would be ... retarded, almost.

Have a look at the outer and inner seams. If there is distressing on them and around them, forget the tapering. It will definitely look silly.
no distressing around the seams, so I'll be still considering the idea for a while...
but I will posticipate the decision until they fully stretch, at least

btw

many of you probably already know about this one
but this is a great image resource for dior denim (and for denim in general)

Identify wash please.
What would be a good price for these? In new condition.

Could be Day Off or maybe not

Have a look into the right pocket and coinpocket. There might be a small tag stating the reference number.
aren't day off's much lighter? what size are those btw? they look hot.
Nope. Day Off is a very dark, distressed wash with slight overdye for the dirty look.
I think you're right Von. Size 28.
^is it 19 or 17.5cm?
Short question regarding sizing. Should I size up / size down / stay with my size (in comparison with washed MII) in:
- RAW MII 19cm
- RAW MIJ 19cm

TIA!
- Raw MII: you could size down one from washed MII depending on the post stretch fit you want to achieve

- Raw MIJ: more difficult to size down, but possibile depending on your physical constitution, stay with your MII for a safe fit
post #2572 of 5251
The pair posted above are Day Off, btw.

In new condition (what does that even mean; I'll take it as very good condition but not entirely unworn, leather tag is wrinkled also), I think something along the lines of 300$ is a fair price.

As for raw sizing: My MiI black raw was tighter in the waist than my MiJ black raw .. both size 28. MiJs have higher rise and are a slightly roomier in the upper block, I'm pretty sure.

No idea, honestly. Either way, I have yet to see any show up anywhere.
