I like the standards more, but yeah good to know.

I almost snapped one via SuFu from a german member at a half way reasonable price. 350 Euros for his spare pare 9.9/10 condition with tags. But I was half an hour too late. Already sold a few hours after he had listed them.

Edit: But there are more wanted pairs on my wishlist. Bleu clair is one of them. Preferably in the dirty (overdyed) version which I would prefer over the waxed one.

My most wanted pair right now as I always repeat it, is the UMC 09...it's becoming an obsession, to bad I went into dior just a little bit too late :/

When I see the fit pics of Shoebox it's worse, they are so awesome...

I don't know if it's any consolation, but I have a pair of AW07 Night Falls that I'm planning to take pics of and throw up for sale (been planning to for like 3 months but I've been lazy lol).

If you can fit a 28, they've only been worn in public twice and I bought them brand new... so they're in 9.9/10 condition. Beautiful jeans but they're just a TAD tighter on me than I want them to be

I hunted for them for so long and now I just don't think I can keep them... *sigh*

Saw your listing in the SuFu market. I fthey were a size 29 I already would have gladly taken them off your hands...

^^yeah, obviously UMC are an obsession for me as well
when I recently saw a pair at the outlet, I was with my gf
I was having a look at man stuff, while she was checking women stuff
I saw the backpocket darts... light wash...paint spots..
OH GOD!!!!!!!!!!

grabbed the pair, run to my gf (she perfectly knows about my fashion obsession)
hands shaking (truth, no jokes)
"THOSE ARE UNDER MY CAR! AND LOOK AT THE PRICE!!!!!!!"

then I looked at the size
"OH, FUCK! NOT MY SIZE!"

my gf:
"Aldo, you're def a crazy man"

lulz, it's only jeans
Shoebox --> what are the measurement of your nightfalls? especially the waist.

Evil --> You made me laugh so hard when I read your post xDDD . I was sooo viewing the scene in my head. I imagine the deception when you looked at your size...would have been mad also.
Sure... these measurements are new as of today:

Waist (dip): 15" (38cm)
Waist (aligned): 16" (40.5cm)
Thigh (at crotch): 9.75" (24.75cm)
Hem: 6" (15.25cm)
Length: 37" (94cm)

lol @ Aldo, good story

+1 for zdenal, yeah they're only jeans, but I know what it means to hold a pair in your hand and then....fuck wrong size.

so exactly how much better do the washed diors fit compared to the raws? I'm very dissapointed by the fit of my black mij's.
Washed MiIs are just a little more relaxed in the calves and maybe a little more snug around thighs (i.e. more straight), plus they have a slightly lower rise, but basically, there is not a huge difference
post #2488 of 5251
since dior's are sanforized, I guess soaking them won't make them fit better either. crap, was really looking forward to this.
What is it that bothers you? Mind posting a fit pic?
the stiffness mostly. how long does it take to soften?
No too long. I dont remember exactly though and they will get oh so soft. Comparing those with other raw denim, they arent too stiff from the beginning.

Post a fit pic!
Btw. Soaking them will make them softer as it removes most of the starch, but that will also destroy the correct braking in imo and remove some of the shine.
I'm selling them. I really wanted a pair from what I saw in pics, but irl they're just not dark enough. It's not really the fit or the stiffness that was bothering me, there's just too much shine for my taste. tbh when I first opened the package, I thought they were silver selvage from how shiny they looked. And I didn't really get these to do the whole raw denim thing and fade them. I just gave up on finding thanaz 8dk and thought these would substitute, but I guess not. I still want a pair of indigo though as those look really good worn in.
The blacks as well, imo. The shine will goe away with time. If you look for a darker black you might want to try the silver selvadge. Those are darker (yet not jet black) as the inner thread is dyed as well.
I second the fact that I'd be curious to see fit pics!
Yeah, black raw diors aren't very black at all... they tend to have a bit of a greyish appearance to them. I'm not too fond of how they look.

For black jeans with white weft, I <3 my safado 8DK. Those get more wear than most of the other denim I have.
^ agreed, not a great fan of dior black raws either
post #2498 of 5251
Imo the black silver selvadge look great for a pair of raw black jeans.
I heard that the silver selvage is not as good quality as the regular raws. something to do with the crotch blowing out faster. yet they're more expensive.
Havent touch them, but they seem to be a tad lighter and stretchier. Hasnt really to do with quality, imo. Again imo, the crotch blows mainly occur with people sizing down too much.
