@fromfrance: That's cool, people wanna see fit pics.

@all: Is this the real orange overdye from SS05? You like the wash? I have seen other pictures of the jean when I entered the code in google, didn't like it there:

Authentic Dior Homme SS05 Orange Overdye 19cm Jeans 28 - eBay (item 150371351184 end time Oct-07-09 08:44:56 PDT)
^not sure about that, but I think orange overdye has been released only in SS05 (I could be wrong tho)
and yes, I like the wash but not as much as others dior washes

edit: hedi could have sized down in these pics lol
god, am I advicing hedi on sizing? I'm a bit presumptuos here hehe

They were released first in 04 as part of the votc collection. Anyways, it's just that these look a lot better than other pairs of supposedly the same wash.

^boombayeh is a legit dior seller and this is a great pair indeed

not sure about how much to offer
they'lle surely be expensive...
True story, they are indeed authentic. But hey, he should seriously think about redesigning his auctions, they totally look like the ones that sell fakes lol but the jeans obviously is immaculate.
how much should i offer? i dont know the usual price for these.
The usual price would be the suggested retail price that is listed in the auction... $749. Offer what you think is reasonable. Obviously if it's lower than what the seller wants to let it go for, then he will say no.

No one can really say what is a reasonable offer, because it all depends on what the seller thinks is reasonable. His BIN is $499, which he clearly thinks is a fair price. However, since he is allowing offers, that means he's willing to go lower. Go a little lower and see if he bites. I bet it won't be too much lower than what he's got it listed as, though. I'd stay above $420
post #2238 of 5538
Don't think retail is 749$ anyways. I think 499 is way too much but I don't think he lets it go for less than 450.
Retail on those actually was $750. Have you ever been to a Dior boutique or owned a pair of washed Diors? Most of them retail in the $500+ range... and there are indeed several that retail up at the $750 mark...
Retail for the US and Asian market is different to retail in the european market.

Tony is right, in the US and asian countries retail was 750 USD. In Europe it was a bit lower, around 700 USD or 480 Euros (referring to todays exchange rates).

can anyone tell me made in india and made in japan. the diff that big?
yes the biggest difference is that a pair made in India is a fake (or am I wrong?)

diors are made in Italy (MII) and made in japan (MIJ)

only red selvadge are made in morocco (and they suck, IMO)
Your probarbly confusing mad in Italy with made in India...

In fact, they are two different cuts. The MII are rather slim straight (almost no taper with most washes) with smaller backpockets and the MIJ are slim tapered with slightly bigger backpockets. The MIJ are of higher denim quality usually, but the MII come in a diversity of denim qualities as well.

Btw. Did you buy the jeans from boombayeh? How much did you pay? If you dont want to post it, I appreciate a private message. Thanks

Ha you were faster.

Opinions on the Red Selvadge differ though. I heard som first hand opinion, stating that they are great quality as well. And fadings I have seen arent bad.

Could you have a look at the inner tag, please? I thought they were MIJ... I saw them in store and they had an additional tag stating that the denim was woven on old japanese looms...
I have seen them in person (edit: red selvadge, not As Good As New)
and I must say, I didn't like them at all

I haven't seen a great quality in them (perhaps was just the pair I saw)
can't speak about the fading tho
this pair was BNWT

btw, where you been Ben?
nice to read from you again

Hi Aldo, been here and there, working a lot, writing my final thesis (about immigration into branching processes/probability theory, if anyone is interested) and starting to write applications. Didnt feel like posting around the Ghost Town, even more seeing a lot of retarded posts lately, especially in the Diesel section.

But its good to see some of the serious members are still online.

Btw. I really liked the As Good As New jeans, but the price killed it for me.
nono i wasnt asking that in depth.

i merely asked about the difference between a MII and MIJ.

cause i saw the raw jeans MII priced quite abit lower than the MIJ.

same cut diff quality or both diff?

How does sizing work?
Measurements new and unstretched are the tagged size plus 2 around. Divide this number by 2 if you want the measurement across. Example: Size 30 = 32" around, 16" across. Expect around 1" in stretch around from a brand new pair. Sizing up once from your "Diesel size" will probably get you the right size for MIJs. Size down once from your MIJ raw size for MII raws.
For washed Diors, size up once from your MIJ raw size for MIJ washed styles. Stay with your MIJ raw size for MII washed styles.

Example:
Diesel size = 30
MIJ raw = 31
MII raw = 30
MIJ washed = 32
MII washed = 31

Please be aware that some of the older styles do run smaller, and it would be best to get measurements if possible.

Inseams for raw jeans always measure 37-38". Most people keep them unhemmed and stack them. Dior cords and other jeans measure 37" to 40" in the inseam, increasing with waist size.

What is MIJ and MII?
Made in Japan and Made in Italy. The MIJ jeans are slightly slimmer, and stretch less. MIJ cost more than MII. Most people recommend the MIJ over the MII.

What is 17cm, 19cm, 21cm?
These refer to the hem width at a certain size. The 19cm is the taper model, while the 21cm is the straight model. The 17cm is more tapered and slimmer than the 19cm model.
For MIJ at size 32, the hem measures 19cm. Every size up increases the width by .5cm and every size down decreases it by .5cm. Add 2cm for 21cm model, and minus 2cm for the 17cm model.
For MII, add 1cm to the above measurements.

What sizes are offered?
26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 36, and 38 (rare?).
Size 26 is mainly only offered in Japan.

Where can I buy online?
eLUXURY (USA)
Browns Fashion (UK)
luisaviaroma.com (Italy)
DIABRO.NET (Japan)
Dior Homme Jeans (All Styles) and other Dior Proxy Services (USA proxy)
Please be wary of taxes, duties and s&h associated with importing overseas.

Lol! Good start, but that is still inaccurate.

^Lihao: Refer to my post above. That applies to washed and raw Diors.
