^ HOLY SHIT. I was looking for a pair of black raw jeans. These could very well be the answer that I'm looking for. How does the price of MIJ 19cm Black raws compare to the RJB's?
I think 340 USD.
guys, what should i do?
i've had these sz29 19cms for close to two months and they've stretched a good deal. i don't mind having to wear a belt and still having them a bit loose in the waist, but it's the stacking that throws me off. i'm 6'1" for reference, and can't help thinking that the stacks don't look like they should (mine are really straight below the knee then a stacking explosion just above the ankles.) is there a solution to this? how do you think it looks and if bad, should i just go with apc PS/NC?

thanks a lot!

@ seveneleven:

1. Do not cuff them.

2. Adjust the stacks by hand after you put them on to help them settle more evenly and not look as sloppy

3. You could get them tapered a little bit, which would help them stack better. Something to consider.

^ thanks for the quick reply man

ok yea, cuffing was a one-day experiment, will go with your advice and ditch that.

i do try to adjust the stacks as much as possible when wearing, often 3-4 times per day, but they eventually revert back to their "natural" state, which unfortunately is the sloppiness you see above.

if i'm gonna taper them, how much should i get taken off. if that were the last resort, should i just sell them and go for a different brand/fit? maybe even 17.5cm? thanks again
post #2106 of 5251
The stacks might have reverted back to that state since they've been like that for so long they are probably broken in to naturally resting in that position.

When I say taper, I don't mean hem the length off, but rather to make the leg opening smaller. It shouldn't take much... perhaps just bringing the leg opening in by ~.5" should help them settle a little bit better. You also could hem off an inch or two, though, if you would rather go that route.

If you can go to a store and try on 17.5cm, I would suggest that. They're a lot skinnier than 19cm in pretty much every area. You appear to have pretty slim legs, though, so 17.5cm might work for you.

thanks a lot

yea -- i was referring to shortening the leg opening, i would never hem. i think we talked about this a while back, but just to reiterate, do you think NC sz 27 would work well? i guess i'm a prestretch 28 in dior, so that could mean 26 as well, but context is out of 26 and it'd be a few months before i could make it to an apc store.
I wear a 28 in Dior and I'm a 26 in NC. Although I may be kind of a 'tweener for MIJ 19cm raws --- last time I tried, I couldn't pull 27 up all the way (got stuck at my thighs), but 28 I could button/clasp with fairly minimal effort.

You could order the APCs from elsewhere... as there are plenty of e-tailers that carry them.

Seven, what are those shoes?

Those are hot. How much do they run? Also I just picked up a pair of Dior's....it's been a week and I hope they don't stretch too much more. I've been wearing them super hard, sweating in them, and also accidently sleeping in them last night. How long do you think it was until yours were completely stretched out?
Hey, tell me what new wash I should get. I own 19cm raw MIJ in indigo, UMC and Day Off.
The one you like best.
What do you think of this 19cm fit? I haven't been wearing them because I'm not too sure about it. It seems like I might be too big in the thigh and hips for 19cm. Opinions?

Pics are a bit small with lack of detail, but from what I can see it looks good. It looks like they still have some stretching ability.

I would change shirt and shoes, though. Maybe add some color.

maybe stacking could be adjusted in a better way, too
post #2117 of 5251
That will settle down with wear, as the denim softens.

thanks bud, they're 130 retail but i got em for 65 at Gargyle

yea it took about 2 months of 4-5x per week wear to get em fully stretched. the sad part was that it made me realize i should've sized down..

Really? I love that shirt. It's made by Iron Heart. The tattered Chucks I just wear around the house like slippers. I put 'em on for the pic thinking they'd look a little better than socks. Thanks for your feedback though. The big mistake I made was getting 4 pairs of raw jeans all within a few months. It's way too many. I just haven't been wearing the DH. Even though I wear jeans every day, I think two pair is the right amount. Once the skull and flat head are at the next stage of evolution, I'll start wearing the DH a lot. And no more denim for me for quite a while.

Dont get me wrong its not bad per se, nor are the chucks. Just imo.

Do you know a wash similar to Nocturnal night (blue sheen on black)?
just wondering how I can find out which washes the Dior Homme in NYC carries. anyone?
Ok, sizing problem. I'm a true 28 in my diesel thanaz size (all washes incl 71b). I got a pair of coated MII in waist 29, and they fit perfect. However I got a pair of MIJ raws and sized up to 29 and they have stretched a lot, they don't even look like slim jeans anymore. I was under the impression that I needed to size up for the MIJ raws, but I feel like I need to keep my size of 28, or even size down to a 27. What would be the consensus?
Consensus is more or less size DOWN 2 for DH
post #2125 of 5251
Not from Diesel size. They fit different from Thanaz. Thanaz = skinny jeans; Dior 19cm = slim and tapered Jeans.

Consensus is: if you size up one from your Thanaz size for mij raws, you will have a jeans that is fitted in the waist and hips and slim all the way down the legs but not skinny.

If you are looking for a fit like your Thanaz but with a more fitted seat, go for 17.5cm.
