You could be a 'tweener... but you could try sizing down one more. I am a size 28 in Dior, a size 27/28 in Diesel and a 26 in APC New Cures. My true waist measures ~30" or a little over. With 28 Diors, I can get them buttoned/clasped with some effort, but they feel snug. However, with size 27, I couldn't pull them up past my thighs for the life of me back when I tried them like a year and a half ago.

I don't know if I would be in the same situation now as I was back then, but if I am... then I'm a 'tweener and would have to settle with sizing down 2.

^ I don't understand how you're able to size down 2 sizes from your Diesel for APC NC.
I'm a 28 in Diesel. I haven't owned a pair of APC jeans before, but I tried on a pair of NC in a size 28. I wasn't able to get them pass my waist. I've owned a pair of Dior raw in a size 28, but they fit mad tight and look like shit, so I guess I'm a 29.

Thanks, Shoebox. So you size down 2 and are happy with the fit? Mine are snug with room to stretch, I think. I've read that MIJ don't stretch as much so I'll probably stay with this size. I definitely am a tweener btw. I'm about a 32.5 real size depending on where the jean sits.

I do really like the fit of the 19cm and even though the denim is light and not selvedge it feels pretty sweet. I paid retail for them, so before I really wear them (I can return them for full refund) I need to decide 1) whether that money would be better spent on a higher quality pair of flathead or iron heart; 2) whether I should wait for a better deal on ebay...

Also if I keep em, I was thinking about getting them chainstitch hemmed to something like 34.5. I'm 6 feet tall. What do you think? The inseam is crazy long. Not sure im into that much stacking.

I thought I wouldn't like stacking, I cuffed my PS for the first 2 weeks. After non stop flaming (thank you) I realized they do look stupid. Now as I'm looking for my second pair of raw denim, I'm looking for longest in-seem I can get. IMO the stacking on Diors looks fucking wicked!

I used to love the stacking on Diors too, but lately I've been more fond of not such excessive stacking. A couple extra inches is good but idk if I can rock the 38" inseams... especially since I'm so short

Same here. Massive stacking is a good look, no question about that. But I cant wear it everyday. I already thought about hemming mine, but decided against it. Not only would it ruin the bit of fading I managed to get onto the stacked part, but its my only jeans that long. I am probarbly going to get the next pair (washed or raw) hemmed to a 33-35 inseam.

Isnt Samurai known for frequent fatal crotch blows?
^ Upon reading that post, I envisioned someone's death upon the crotch blowout of their Samurais.

Is that strange?

Lol, maybe its more like an implosion...

ARE THESE AUTHENTIC? I couldn't find a dry denim authenticity thread.

They look good to me, but I am not a DH expert. The material looks good as well as most of the details.

BUT my DH raw mij have an assymetrical right back pocket, which those pictured obviously dont have. My care tag looks different as well.

Wait for someone who can definitely tell.

I sized down 2 on the 19cm MIJ and I totally love them now. They fit great. I had 'em hemmed to 35" - I'm 6 feet tall. I'm psyched!
You should post some fit pics, nice to see what they look like.
I will soon. My problem is now I have 3 pairs of raw denim jeans to break in at once (not including those Naked and Famous that are too big - I need to sell those). Good thing I wear jeans everyday. I can rotate.

What do you think about the backpocket?

Are they different in different seasons?

What about assymetry of backpockets?
Also, are the dior 19cm and 21cm's MIJ made of selvedge denim?
the only thing wrong with those diors is that they aren't in my room right now.
Some are, some are not
Is everything about the selvedge the same, just better denim?? Like the 19cm's silver selvadge? Is the denim thicker/better? What I'm asking is, should I get the silver selvadge from luisaviaroma?!?! I'm so confused.

Red selvage = Made in Morocco = shitty quality = do not buy

Not sure how the quality of Silver selvage is, though.
