It's not fake. It's just not a Kulter. It's a Cardiel! I have these in exactly that wash.

Its not a cardiel either. I also have cardiel 740 - the belt loops are different. A while back there were TONS of fake thais diesels on ebay that had kulter hangtags but looked just like cardiel 740

Yea, it's not a cardiel, they look fake to me. Personally, I do not have a good experience with yoox. I had to buy some time ago a viker 70Z and at the time of opening the package, I had a very ugly viker 70N and in a wrong size. The pictures are still not those products that are actually sold. I do not buy on yoox that I get from all these problems.

I think they exactly look like my Cardiels. Perhaps I don't know how the real Cardiel 740 look, but I really think mine are authentic. They have a authentic microstitching...

here is my Cardiel, perhaps you can post some pictures of yours to compare:

Microstitching is quite impossible to shoot sharp with my cell phone cam, but it's a real microstitching.

Otherwise I think yoox cannot afford to sell fake jeans. Perhaps they sell damaged jeans or faded, but no fake. If this becomes public it will be very hard for them. Who will ever trust them again?

This evening I will post some pix I had of fake versus real cardiels next to one another. The key indicator here is that they said the model is KULTER and there were KNOWN cardiel fakes that were quite good and had hangtags that said the model was KULTER>

I think that KULTER is just a typing error.

Looks like Cardiel to me. I have a pair that has loops just like that.

There's way way it's a typing error. Kulter is a model which was discontinued in 1999, and it's been used on a billion fakes since then which actually look like totally different models, INCLUDING one which looked just like a cardiel. I'm sure it's just a random pair which got its way into yoox's stock but I'm reasonably certain that it really is a fake

Here's to hoping they revive that cut as the Coulter.

Uhhhh, yeah that was relevant...

I was not aware that every single post on this forum had to directly relate to the topic at hand, Mr. Moderator.

Oh, wait, it was relevant!

I just can't imagine that there is a Kulter model that is similar to the Cardiel cut. I bought a fake Kulter years ago, not knowing anything about authentic or fake Diesel stuff.
That's the point, some fakes would have random tags not corresponding with the cut.

Ok so here you go. One of these pairs is real (diesel store) and the other fake (denimkingdom from ebay)

huh, these look very similar. Never seen so well made fakes. I guess the right one on the picture above is the real one. But without seeing the tags inside I cannot tell.

I ever wondered why my pair has plastic buttons outside. Perhaps I have the fake...I'll take another bunch of pictures and will post them.

Is this microstitching not real???

The inside buttons of my Cardiel 740:

look different to yours

^all are real microstitching...if they say D I E S E L in there then 100% they are real...

they are all from the same jeans. But the buttons are different to blm14.

@blm14 are your jeans...the authentic ones made in Romania like mine? Is it exactly the same wash 740?

there can't be a final verdict without ordering the jeans from yoox and check the microstitching...

Exactly.

Both my fake and my real cardiel 740s were made in italy and both said 740 as the wash. One had real microstitching and the other had fake. There were other subtle differences when you looked at them.

In all of my pix, the REAL pair is the one on the right.

There are two reasons I'm pretty certain that this particular pair on yoox is fake:

1) They list it as KULTER, and jeans with KULTER hang tags and the attributes of something other than real kulters are dead ringers for fakes. This is because for some reason the fakers keep reusing kulter (I've seen kutler a lot too) for brand new fakes.

2) The easiest visual difference between my fake and real cardiel 740 was always the fact that the extra belt loops on the fake pair had more of a fringiness to the edges where the material was cut. This pair on yoox has that same loose-fringe look on the loops
post #25 of 39
For your reasons, we all know yoox did a shitty job of labeling their jeans and I think your first reason is too circumstantial. Second, have you thought about that different manufacturing sources could cause different belt loop looks? For instance, 770 cardiel has very identical belt loop with your fake 740 and so do 796. In fact, all cardiels that I've ever seen look like that.

I need to agree with tricky's point here. Before we see a fake microstiching of yoox's cardiel, it's too soon to jump to conclusion.
