What are Your Favorite Designer Jeans? - Page 5

I agree with you
But I told my personal opinion
American companies are very strong

I am obsessed with Adriano Goldschmied jeans for their fit and quality, TRs for the way they make my butt look, 7FAM for their selection (LOVE the new Rockers) and am awaiting my first pair of RRs.  I have heaps of Diesel jeans (I live in Europe and can usually get them on sale) but I don't think I will continue to buy them.  I just find their sizing very inconsistent (sometimes 27, sometimes up to 29, I almost always wear 27 in American brands).  I also really like Fossil jeans, they fit well and have nice washes, but are pretty cheap, still made in the US.

I didnt know fossil made jeans. You may face the same problem with RR as Diesels. I dont know about for women but I know that with RR I have some jeans that are a 32 and then some that are a 30. They fit me me the same. Atleast TR is consistently big. Though RR is my favorite jeans. Their washes are amazing. Just when I thought jeans were getting borng. Anyways have you tried William Rast yet? They are great. I recommend sizing the same as you would with TR. They can run a size or even two sizes big.

Yep, Fossil makes jeans ;)  I love their Skinny jeans and Slim bootcut jeans.  Fairly nice quality at a decent price.  Will have to check out the William Rast line, I have never seen them here!  Will have to see about the RRs, got them in a 28 so I hope they fit!

I love my R&R.  They're my jean of choice even if driving long distance.  The washes are unique yet conservative.  They aren't loud and the R on the pocket looks hot (though few of their pockets are questionable).

Has anyone tried Robin's jeans?  Men or women?  I'd be curious to know.  THey look hot on women, and I've never tried on the men's.

I never seen them or tried them. Where are they sold? The Saks around here carries pretty much just Joe's, R&R, TR, WR, 7FAM, Diesel, & Hudson in their denim area for men. Not that I'm complaining. There are a lot of people who don't have a Saks at all. I have to agree though. Rock & Republic makes the best looking jeans hands down. William Rast is close. I have a pair of William Rast that has the most unique distressing I've ever seen. I will post pics later. It is really cool and the wash is incredible. Also it has the twisted outseam like the TR Joey's.  If the start making a lot more like this they will have a following much like Rock & Republic/True Religion. I really think they are beginning to get one. Anyways I will post pics of these William Rast in a minute.

As promised here is the pics of the coolest looking jeans ever made(IMO). If you have jeans that you think look better post them please. I would love to see your too. Maybe there is a thread for this already? I dont know. I searched and did not find one. If anyone knows just let me know and Ill post there. Also I zoomed in on some of the unique distressing. Most of it is along the waistband. I LOVE these jeans.icon_banana.gif

I really like some new Diesel black gold jeans. Diesel is my favorite for everyday wear, like school or hanging out. But the best fitting jeans that I tried on/had were diors.

These are a neat looking pair.  When are these from?  Are these from last year's WR collection?

Robin's jeans...here's the website: http://robinsjean.com/

I heard they fit well, and they have a cool design on the women's butt. Men's pairs are a bit loud...kinda remind me of Monarchy.  I just don't know how they fit.   Anyone?

I'm pretty sure they are because I got them on clearance at a boutique in the Hardrock Casino, Biloxi about a month ago. So I would assume they are from last season. I am on vacation at the moment so when I get home I will see if I can get the wash name for you. The pictures dont do them justice. These are so nice!!!

Just ordered a pair (my first) of J Brand jeans.  A friend of mine is addicted to their skinnies, but I ordered a pair of 7/8 jeans in pale blue (I'm short, so the inseam should work for me to wear flats).  Still waiting on my RRs :(  The J Brand will probably be here before them!

Im not sure what people see in J Brand. My wife just got a pair too. They look no different than Earnest Sewn which you can buy online brand new for $35. Aa far as how they look, they look the same on my wife as anything she has ever owned, but they arent the best. I mean people love the plain pockets I guess. What is it that you like about them exactly? Is it the fit? Also, do they have any trademarks? I mean how do fashion bloggers no when some star has them on. I've always wondered that.

I am not sure what the fuss is, that's why I want to try them ;o)  I am seriously addicted to jeans...I think I will have to ban myself from buying new ones until I go to NYC next year!  I have about 30 pairs, it is getting ridiculous!  I will let you know as soon as I get them if they are yay or nay.

Another brand I was really curious about was Fidelity denim. Do you know these?  The denim is super super soft, but the pair I got are not so flattering, they make my bootay look HUGE (I am curvy, 5'3'' about 118lbs, so not huge ;o).  I don't really see the fuss.  Luckily I only paid about 40$ for them!  They are the Stevie model.

I cant say I've ever heard of them. Post fit pics if you get a camera.

Hopefully getting a camera for xmas :o)

Update to the Jbrands and RR:  I got them BOTH today! Yay!  The J Brands are really plain, no detailing whatsoever except for a bit of distressing on the pockets (they are very faded blue) but the FIT!  They are 7/8 in trestles jeans so have about a 28'' inseam and fit me perfectly!  It's like they were made for me!  They will be perfect with flats and boots.  The RR are the Posey in undeniable and I am in LOVE with them, wearing them today.  They are the perfect length on me and feel lush on.  I am glad I went with the 28 as I find they run a bit small. The J Brand are 27 and true to size.

I like the J Brands for their fit, but they are really nothing special.  For that kind of money, I would expect some detailing, like with the RRs.  Just ordered 2 new pairs of 7FAM this morning.

Posey in Undeniable are GORGEOUS jeans!!!! Good choice. My wife got some J brands. They are the stockholm pencil leg. Im impressed with quality of denim. The outseam is twisted and i'm not sure if that is by design (like TR joeys) because its only one leg. So that throws me off a bit, but then again I like a little uniqueness in jeans. Other than that the jeans are nice. I mean the pcokets are spaced a little wide and almost flatten her butt out. But they are good jeans for her to wear if she wants to have a long flowy top or something. THey are a good inseam. I think they're 35"or 36".  And if you think those jeans(Your new Rocks) are gorgeous you should look into Kasandra Demure Law. THat is the most beautiful pair of jeans I've ever seen for women(IMO). I'm not sure how your experience has been, but I know there are some cases where my wife may have to size down one in R&R. Not all of them will run TTS. I am happy you got good purchases. I would really like to see fit pics. Maybe Christmas then?

Oh no!  Another pair of jeans to look out for ;)  I really hope I get a camera from Santy Claus, then I can post picks of my sick collection!  I have some Diesels which are TDF(6)...AGs(3), 7FAM(3+2 I ordered today), Denimbirds (1), True Religion(4), and now the new RRs and J Brands, plus the Fidelity jeans.

The quality of the J Brand seems impeccable.  The fading is gorgeous!  I am finding the RRs are stretching out already after a couple of hours of wear...but still loving them!

Yeah I found that I can size down 2 with RR if I want because of how they stretch out. Its good though because it forms to my butt for a nice fit. The J brand denim is amazing. I will definitely give them that. They may not have the aesthetically pleasing virtue but quality makes up for that. They are def good for people who aren't into loud (or highlighter, as my wife calls it) pockets. Please do post the denim collection. I think I may do that soon, too. my profile pic is a very old collection. It has changed significantly since then. I went on a HUGE spending spree recently(as you can tell if you have viewed the "what did you buy today" thread. I also got my first pair of Diesels and I love their fit. I have another pair coming in the mail from Bloomingdales as we speak. They will be here today! I will post pics.

[edit] brandedjean: Post fit pics!!!

My favorite brand is TR.  Very high quality and comfortable, plus great style.  Their Billys and Johnnys are the best straight-leg silhouette ever (for women).  Sometimes I wish they had some models with toned-down stitching and pockets though.  I come from a family of sewers, I love that I can inspect a pair of TRs (I have three pair now), and find flawlessness.

I also like 7FAM because they are classic, but their workmanship and fabrics IMO aren't at the level of TR.

Just got my first pair of R&R and it's going to take some time for me to like them.  They are Kurt's with flap pockets, can't remember the wash.  My butt looks flat in them.  So I'm on the fence with this brand.

Among lesser known brands, I like Earnest Sewn; great quality for the money.

Earnest Sewns are definitely good quality for the money. I got my first pair off overstock.com for $35. I would never pay anything less than 75% off retail for them though. They def arent worth paying full price for. A lot of people think RR makes their butt look flat. I think it just depends on the style. They definitely dont do it to me but they do it to my wife sometimes. J Brand does too. Maybe try out berlins next time for RR. They may be a little more form fitting.

Baller jeans are the most hideous, ridiculous looking things I have ever seen. I guarantee you that not one person that is a member here(a real member-not a spam account like yours and the others that keep advertising baller jeans) would ever be caught dead wearing those jeans. I wouldn't even give them to my worst enemy. They are horendous. I would rather wear Girbauds(well maybe not). They look like they're trying to move the denim industry backwards. And as for this "innovative idea" to make the pockets glove shaped, what happens when your loose change or your pain pills get stuck in the finger holes? Then you gotta go through all that hassle to digg'em out and check each finger hole. and did I mention they were hideous??? When I first saw these I thought it was a joke--but no joke they're actuallly trying to pass these off as fashion:
