A little info - Drys for a hefty guy

Hey Guys and Galz.

First off I would like to congratulate everyone on a great forum. Definitely the most tolerant to people trying to learn about denim. Anyone speaking from experience could comment on a the right starter pair for a guy with a large waist and large thighs, with preferably a low/mid rise ? I usually wear straight or bootcuts in other brands, for obvious reasons.

All of my raws are between size 35 and 40 (the only 35 is an APC which stretch like nuts and the only 40 is an eternal 811 which runs like 2 sizes small).

I highly recommend the samurai S5000 cut, and almost anything sugarcane makes.

the Imperial Kings would also be a good choice. I have a pair that's way too big for me, just haven't listed it here...

I'm not into relaxed fits, but thanks for asking. It's either straight or boot cuts for me, for now at least.

F380 - $280.00 : Self Edge : Japanese Selvedge Denim

flathead F380's. Up to a 38" waist, and a very high quality cut of denim... probably one of my favorites out right now. Out of stock in the higher waist lines right now, but give self edge a call and see if you can reserve one, or get a japanese proxy to track one for you.

a relaxed fit, sized down, is probably exactly what you're looking for based on your OP. the imperial king also happens to have a slight bootcut, but hey, i'm not trying to sell you anything.

TBSD-- they are a little longer than 32, and the waist runs a little big.
