you may have seen these in my boot thread in diesel, but i am starting a new thread here to focus on the jeans in case people are interested in the new 17.5cm raws because from what i have seen there isn't a whole lot of info on them out there anywhere just yet. the pair i got is just like these from luisa via roma, but they also come in a dark charcoal grey (which i will be picking up soon as well):

they are made in japan, but the denim is different from what is used in the 19cm mij raws. these have 3% polyurethane for stretch because the cut is a little slimmer, and they are just slightly lighter in weight. the color is also a deeper, darker blue (almost navy) as compared to the 19cm denim and the tonal stitching makes them appear a bit more sleek when compared to the amber stitching on the indigo 19cm.
as far as the fit and sizing goes, these run exactly the same as the 19cm mij in the waist. i am a 26 in diesel and i got these in a 27, which is also my ideal 19cm mij size. i feel like these might have a slightly lower back rise and pocket placement, but it is very close. personally, i think these are just about the perfect fit for a pair of jeans and is quite similar to thanaz in the legs. compared to the 19cm, i find that the thigh is definitely slimmer, but not drastically so. they fit slimmer through the knee and calf, but just slightly, and the leg opening is not much smaller either. anyway, this is how they fit on me. for reference i an a 26x30 in diesel. normally i woulod wear a belt and let my shirt hang over them, but i was trying to capture the entire jean in the pics:
