Dior 17.5cm Sheer Jeans (Raw) w/Fit Pics

you may have seen these in my boot thread in diesel, but i am starting a new thread here to focus on the jeans in case people are interested in the new 17.5cm raws because from what i have seen there isn't a whole lot of info on them out there anywhere just yet. the pair i got is just like these from luisa via roma, but they also come in a dark charcoal grey (which i will be picking up soon as well):

http://www.luisaviaroma.com/ecnew/Co...&CodArticolo=6

they are made in japan, but the denim is different from what is used in the 19cm mij raws. these have 3% polyurethane for stretch because the cut is a little slimmer, and they are just slightly lighter in weight. the color is also a deeper, darker blue (almost navy) as compared to the 19cm denim and the tonal stitching makes them appear a bit more sleek when compared to the amber stitching on the indigo 19cm.

as far as the fit and sizing goes, these run exactly the same as the 19cm mij in the waist. i am a 26 in diesel and i got these in a 27, which is also my ideal 19cm mij size. i feel like these might have a slightly lower back rise and pocket placement, but it is very close. personally, i think these are just about the perfect fit for a pair of jeans and is quite similar to thanaz in the legs. compared to the 19cm, i find that the thigh is definitely slimmer, but not drastically so. they fit slimmer through the knee and calf, but just slightly, and the leg opening is not much smaller either. anyway, this is how they fit on me. for reference i an a 26x30 in diesel. normally i woulod wear a belt and let my shirt hang over them, but i was trying to capture the entire jean in the pics:

if anyone wants, i can post some measurements of these as well.

I know many fans of Dior Homme denim consider this practice sacrilege, but do you plan on having these hemmed?

^HELLS NO! i love the stack of a 38" inseam.
As I said in boot thread James, those look great on you. I think I am a sucker for Diors !

Perhaps it's just me, but it looks as if 28" of that is stacking around your calves. Maybe hemming to a 32" or 34" inseam might look better?

Can we get a shot of the backrise/back pocket placement? I know it sounds weird, but w/e I would like to see before I buy. Thanks jskid.

He probably should wear them a while , as the back of the knee will wrinkle up and take up a couple inches.

they look good with the stacking.

i concur w/ the stacking. Looks good, especially w/ those boots.
I would size up 1 or stretch them out and wear them a bit lower + hemming them a little bit

^they are brand new, they will stretch. the waist is already borderline loose now just after wearing them so far today. and this cut is intended to be worn really tight, its supposed to be substantially tighter than the 19cm. and definitely not hemming. i actually pushed the stack all the way down for those pics because i basically unpacked them and threw them right on to shoot those, it looks much better today now that i am actually wearing them.

im in serious love with these jeans. Definitely my next pickup. I see a dilemma with choosing which color already....

James, will you be sporting the boots with these mostly or what other shoes do you have in mind. They both look great by the way. I am doing some boot searches, but at the time I can't afford the pair you have. I am searching ALDO right now and they seem to have some nice stuff.

damn, i really like the tonal stitching.

i dont think you should bother with aldo, the material of shoes and boots are really cheap, i would recommend to look through yoox or save up to buy better quality boots.

i think the stacking is fine since it will shrink in length in the long run

Great fit, always an inspiration..

do these need soaking or are these one wash?
are all raw diors the same in this aspect?

all dior is sanforized, so no soak.

How much do they tend to stretch (mij)? More than diesels or about the same? From a 29 slammer 71b (tight) what size and model would u recommend for a similar fit but a hit more relaxed? 19cm? I usually where 30 on zathans but amazingly i managed to squeeze in those slammers

those are nice ass jeans but price is pretty steep 450 Usd... btw does slim jeans only good with pointy boots or can u wear them with wider boots and still make it lookgood??? ihave boots like this Zappos.com - Steve Madden Emereld .. my foot is pretty wide and would never fit into boots liek urs.
I wouldn't wear them with a square toe. You can do round toe, or some nice sneakers though.

THOSE JEANS ARE HOT ON YOU!!!!
i never considered saving my pennies for dior till i saw those. definetly like them with the boots too!

i do the stacking too. i love how it looks with boots/heels. now that i buy designer, i finally have found long enough inseams to stack! (I'm 5'10"...and a high heel addict!!!)
