^i think you should wash those. the fading is too "contrasty."

Newbie question.... is it bad to have high contrast? What is going to happen when I wash them?
Some fit pics....
They are strating to get really loose and a bit baggy

washing them would remove more indigo and create more contrast, no?

anyways if thats how you fix a blown out crotch on nudies i will never buy a pair. that looks like ass
post #1189 of 1630
the more you wash the less contrast you will have, as the jeans will lose indigo all over not just around the creases. basically if you wear your jeans for a year and wash them once you will get something that looks like a pair of old 713. but if you wear them for a year and wash them every few months they will look more like 772. if that makes any sense to you.

the problem with nudies is that they lose a shitload of indigo in the wash so you really can't wash them all that often. but when you do there still won't be a whole lot of contrast. i prefer less contrast personally because i like a more vintage looking jean, but one isn't better than the other really. just preference.

as jskidder said, washing them will make the jeans a bit lighter and it will blend a little better with the fades, making it look more natural. this is just a preference of mine, because in those pics the sharp blue fade looks ugly w/ the dark indigo IMO.

Will soaking them help to get them back to its original shape?

Are they going to loose much indigo if I soak them in hot water for 20 minutes?

80 days and a Nudie Crotch Blowout................. remember this thread next time everyone shit talks Nudies' quality
post #1193 of 1630
How the fuck did you get so much wear on the knees but nowhere else?

Also nudie dry selvage denim is better than the dry japan denim.
my TLJ, about 130 wears. Haven't washed them except for the very first wash from the factory.

Not much fading.......
Just gave my Nudie RRDS their first wash. Worn about 3 days a week, for 10 months. Light use. I've tried japanese brands, as well as dior, and apc, but I still prefer the fit and style of the RRDS.

Im waiting for seeing advan031's AW.
6 month old nudies, I wore them a lot in the beginning, then stopped wearing them all together, and in the last month started wearing them again :P I guess I averaged 1 wear a week 0.o

For the most part, they haven't gone through too much, cept during the winter months, rain, snow, salt... anyways, Im going to dry clean them soon.

Back pocket logos have been removed
