you know how it says wear for 6 months before washing

would it be better for 180 wears before washing?
Has to be exactly 180 wears, or else you will rape them. They will break, kittens will die. It has to do with some real complex shit in the cotton and indigo.

i fucking hate cats

if you wear them 777 times w/o washing and then wash with woolite dark, a unicorn will appear in your sleep and grant you three wishes. sometimes it's not a unicorn and instead it's david bowie. and he rapes you.

there are no rules for how you wear your pants

but if you need a rough number, i would say 173.2 wears will give you the best results

if you actually buy good denim, you can wash them almost weekly & they will hold their indigo pretty well. It's the cheap shits like nudies that lose all their color after a wash.
Sooo... buy you some QUALITY jawns, wear the fuck out of them, and wash them when it's warranted... be it 6 months, 10 months, or two weeks.

lol, yeah I washed my samurais each month

I was hoping you'd say David Hasselhoff. =/
post #1388 of 1664
^The Hoff only sneaks into your bedroom at night if you skip the woolite dark. He watches you sleep and breathes heavily until you wake up, at which point he will call you a homo and vanish into thin air. This only works with raw jeans.

Flathead F310 @ 7ish months of moderate wear
2 washes
2 (?) soaks

hmm pretty gay how it automatically resized the images... kinda hard to see the detail since the pics are so small, but I've had some moderate progress.

they look pretty good. i should post some pics of my diors this week...i have some nice wallet fade going on
post #1392 of 1664
yea, i think they're pretty "meh" for 7 months of wear, I expected something a little better. I sit on my ass 90% of the day though, which probably has something to do w/ the slow progress
post #1393 of 1664
Should I Wash these yet? I think its been about 4 months..

I put them outside in the sun inside out and they are still a bit sticky... .. .

those are nowhere near ready for a wash dude. they may be 4 months but they look like 1 month. wear them for another 8 months and maybe then they will be ready as it seems you aren't wearing them daily or are just not wearing them hard enough...

Though I side with you... and your location.

Let us take a minute to review the rules of this thread.

starting fit threads is fine since we are trying to build a database here of how different jeans look and fit, and eventually it would be nice to see one thread for each brand in which sizing q's and fit pics can be addressed.

The Evolution of Jeans: Pictures, Scones and Tea - superfuture :: supertalk

we will never be able to build something like that on this forum if everyone who is running out and buying dry denim continues to shit up the thread with almost new jeans. forgive me for trying to protect the integrity of this thread.

i would also like to add that while i may have been rude in the way i went about stating my thoughts, i don't think in any way that it merited a personal attack such as the one you posted in response. i find it quite contradictory that you would make the argument that you do yet take it to the level of a personal attack over the internet based purely on assumptions about someone/thing that you have never met and know nothing about. call me an asshole if you want, but you have never and will never see me insult others in the way you did to me.
