*clears throat* It's not like me using my real name as my username, and having posted a photo of my self in one of the threads...means that there is actually any one here, that actually knows me in person...So here it goes...

I have no experience in seeing anything in person, but from what I see in the good ol' pornography, girls you should really keep it under control down there. It's pretty much like the whole shaving your legs. It's just makes you look soooooo much sexier...Waxing is fine, the good ol' "landing strip" looks rather weird, but I say keeping it maintained in a "reasonable fashion"(trimming) never hurts... Basically it shouldn't really add any bulk to say...you are wearing a bathing suit...(Not a pervert, but some of these situations are too had to miss...*shivers*)...Basically, imagine your self wearing a bikini or maybe thing...It's should all look nice and not like...."I don't care about my appearance" Also...I am not saying this from any experience, but I am pretty sure a bit too much hair down might get in the way of things like sex, lol

I have tried a few times of going clean, yes it was quite creepy introducing the razor to my friends down there...After some extreme care and a few minutes...I must say it felt rather interesting...That I had to jump into a pair of cotton briefs right away...mmm mm softness... Anyways, keep it maintained...Makes you look better, sexual partners will be happy, makes you feel(physically, ) better... And, from different sources, apparently it keeps the area a lot cleaner, maybe even scent-wise as well...

Trim is good, keep it short. Hairless is just a pain in the ass to deal with, and your partner will understand that for sure.

It really only is for the first few times (along with the occasional red bumps too). After a while the skin will become used to it and it'll be fine. Slap some moisturizer there and you're good to go. :thumbsup:

As for the whole "standard" thing, I just think it's to do with the times. Sex sells (aka everyone wants to be sexy), and sex is a lot more fun sans weed wacker. I don't think it's bad for women to be expected to maintain themselves, but I do think that it's bad for there to be a double standard. If men like a clean girl, they should do the same for their female counterparts (and vice versa).

All my friends keep it trimmed down there. I always used to just shave a little around the sides and keep it neat, but about a year ago I started getting Brazilians and I can never go back. I want to get it lasered, like shadepixie suggested, it's just wicked expensive and I haven't had the money.

I think it's a relatively new thing that "everyone" keeps it neat/bare down there. Somehow society decided that pubes are gross and need to be removed. Even like 5-7 years ago when I was in college I didn't know anyone who was getting brazilians, I knew about them but I thought they were only for porn stars. Now, I know lots of people who get them.

Just to chime in on the whole subject. I think shaving is a must. It is your own body so ultimately it is up to you what you do, but you seem to be very interested in doing it. It definitely makes everything more appealing down there because there is not all the hair to deal with and I think you would personally feel sexier without the hair. There are two different kinds of cuts that are prime. You have the all clean look, which is great but can be hard to deal with. I think once you get use to it though it becomes easy as pie (no pun intended ). The second is the "Land Strip" which is my personal choice. You leave a very thin strip that runs vertical down the pelvic area and ends right before you hit the goods.

i think the rule of thumb should be.... the more time you spend down there, the more time i "spend" down there.
