Clueless about "New" female standard......is this so?

I really didn't know how to title this thread (plus it's kinda embarrassing), so here it goes:

I am one of the older members of the forum, and grew up in a time when "all natural" was in.
I was told by a friend the other day that all women these days now shave or trim their "bush" or pubic hair. Is this the "standard" now, as my friend said? And if so...how is it done, waxing or shaving. I have shaved before and it's an itchy bitch when it starts to grow back in, so I can't imagine being in a constant state of itchiness all the time.

Thanks for helping an old dog learn new tricks...or standards!

Im pretty sure amongst most women its standard and waxing is the method but ive read surveys and questionaires and stuff and people like either all gone or neat, not many like the whole natural look, most like it tidy but the waxing method is not pleasant lol opening your legs wide apart and holding your bum cheeks apart, makes me shudder lol.

I think this is still personal choice. It's your body, what are you comfortable doing? It is more prevalent now, but I don't think it is expected.

BTW, I have been 'waxed' I was a little nervous at first, but they are perfectly professional, just like getting a massage.

Men have to landscape down there too... well in this case, manscape it. If you've gone long enough without doing anything down there, why bother? It must be nice not having to attend to that area and I highly doubt you're going to be flashing some girl and saying something along the lines of "I'm just like you now!"

For pertinent information, my girlfriends (I'm still in college) wax. They all get brazilians every month -- of course they all take shots of Vodka and a Vicodin before hand too, not advocating that LOL.

Perhaps I never really thought about it because in all honesty, I don't have a heck of a lot of hair there to begin with. I"m blond, have absolutely no hair on my arms, and maybe about 5 on each ankle that I have to take care of....

Begret -- That's so funny that you said sasquatch. That's actually what I call the girl in my avatar on the left, one night we were drunk at a beach house... think bottles of Tequila, Vodka and Everclear and chasing it with beer... yeah, it was one of those awkward things where she was like "If you show me your left nut I'll show you my vag" and I agreed.

Anyways she warned me and said she was hairy, since she hasn't gotten any action in a long time and didn't want to spend 50 bucks to get it waxed unless she knew she was gettin' some... anyways she pulled down a little and I was like... "Oh you're not that hairy." She pulls down even more and then apparently (this is what the other girls there said I said because I don't remember) "OH MY GOD! You're a fucking sasquatch!" And now it's like an inside joke thing.

Trimming or completely removing pubic hair has been a custom in many cultures for many years (although in certain culture/s removing the pubic hair is considered taboo).
& I personally think it's a trend for men as well.
I like to stay trimmed, shaved around the edge and well groomed myself. For women I'd have to say that trimmed in any pattern or shaved is fine (preferably trimmed w/ style & clean down under), but the natural untouched look is... no offense... but... just... BAD

I recommend laser. Lightsheer hurts like hell but I'm clear after only 4 treatments. Some folks take more but it's gone forever, so why not?

my thing is, if your pubic hair area (the golden triangle) is wider than the length of your 3 fingers together then its time to mow the sides. When i see really large pubic hair areas, it scares me!

I like to keep it trimmed cuz ya never know what will happen.....like new years eve 2 years ago.....i honestly didnt think id get any action, but unfortunately I did. The guy was best friends with my boss. I heard it for months at work, my boss commenting on how I needed to take a weedwacker to my bush. Soooo embarassing and I vowed to never let that happen again.
