It's called 'The Genius of Flexibility' by Bob Cooley. Part of his premise is contracting the muscle at the same time you are stretching it. He has you do a hamstring stretch as an example and I couldn't believe what a difference it was. I keep bending over and touching the ground now.

I had my husband do it and he couldn't believe how much of a difference it made. He is even worse than I am. The funny thing is I did Pilates for a year and never felt I got that good of a stretch. On the Reformer it was better, but not this good.
I'm still getting through the rest of the book, then I'll start the series of stretches. He is starting to get into Eastern medicine and stuff, which I do't know how much I believe in that, but I am will to finish the book.
