Do people on HF actually purchase jeans here? - Page 4

^ i still dont get your point hun we know all of this
i'm very confused here and i'm thinking you're confusing urslef even hehe

so were u just here to prove that u were right?

i'm very very very lost
i agree you are correct but there arent stores that sell for $50.00 unless it's overstock but we here all know that so i'm very lost as to what the reason for this thread even is

people were not reading my posts properly before replying and kept saying new season jeans are constantly sold way under retail for no apparent reason, and it did not make sense.. hence why I argued with them

bah who cares what difference will it make in any of our lives whos right and whos not.

i saw that but your question was ultimately that you purchase these new styles and have to sell at the prices you do and seemed curious how we did it so cheaply and that was answerd

^^ the point is YOU ARE COMPLETELY CORRECT in waht you are saying
but SO IS EVERYONE HERE they're just frustrated becasue you are not making any sense and i am sorry to be so firm and slightly pushy here but this thread was pointless

let me see if i got this right

True_Rock is questioning why no one is buying his (sorry i'm assuming you are a guy) jeans, new styles, priced WAY below retail

counter argument: because stores have them on sale (either old or new styles) for as long as $49.99

truth is, i really do think it depends on how the jeans look, if I look equally good (or bad) in a new style of R&Rs and a old style, i'd pay $49.99, so what if they are from the last season

on HM, most buyers probably think this way, unless the new style is absolutely hot and stunning, why pay much more if you can look equally as good in a older style?

whatever u say honey, your wrong so say what you want, when I say its not possible for a regular store NOT OVERSTOCK NOT SAMPLE AND NOT ON SALE... to sell new styles at $49.99 and people keep responding about OVERSTOCK, SAMPLE AND ON SALE items, they are wrong and are arguing with me for nothing. I gave them the benefit of the doubt of maybe being right since i knew nothing about US market.

This is why I did not want to come post back on this thread because it would amount to more pointless arguing.. good going

WE KNOW THIS! ALREADY!

So, here’s the deal:

You can get current and last season’s RR jeans, either overstocks or damages, at discount stores for extremely cheap. I’ve gotten a pair for as little as $32.

When you talk about retail, things change. There are price restrictions set out by the company as to what prices the stores must sell the product at, otherwise, they will lose their account with the designer. The stores are also allowed to get permission from the designers to put their items on sale and suggest prices to the designer for the sale. Ultimately, the prices a boutique sells the jeans at must be approved by the designer or the boutique risks losing its account. There is an exception to this though:

Some boutiques will wholesale out to third parties. This is not allowed and if the designers do find out about this going on, the boutiques do risk losing their account. So, it is possible to get current season merchandise at wholesale prices without having an account with the designers.

PLEASE LOCK THIS UP LAURIE. THANKS
