Fake LV Azur Speedy 30 From Member, Lots of Pics. I'm Very Sorry, What should I do??

Hi everybody,

Firstly, I have to apologize for this Fake LV Azur Speedy 30 I have tried to sell.
I got it from a member and didn't bother to check carefully enough by assuming most stuff sold here were authentic.

I know I'm also responsible for what have happened. I'd like to take the blame! What can I do to make it up?

But for now, pls forgive my ignorance for one moment. Feel free to give a comment, that's your support I need!

I paid in June 3rd this year, $525 including shipping, and didn't use it much at all!

I contacted the original seller for the refund, but haven't received the reply yet. I hope he/she can agree with us after reading this thread.

NOW, most importantly, LET'S SEE WHY IT'S A FAKE.... VERY VERY GOOD FAKE!!!
(Some features may not be the right clues because I can only compare with different style real LVs.)

1. Papers and Cards.

a) Green envelop and card are never from LV store. But I thought that's something new in 2007.

b) For Card and Booklet, Paper quality, color, size, prints are different. The red circle indicates the fake one.

c) the edge is rough. Staple is silver instead of brown.

d) Booklet has different content, 8 pages total, but my other one has 10 pages (both including cover and back). Did you ever count yours?

e) The booklet corner is round, should be straight.

2. YKK zipper, and smaller zipper head!! My other LVs never have YKK zipper. This is easy to find out, but I was too careless.

3. Small leather tags inside. Brown one is Cherry speedy 25.

a) All tags are in different shapes. The studs are Not symmetric arranged, should be symmetirc.

4. Date code is in Different fonts. (But they do come differently sometimes). Darker one is LV cherry Speedy 25.

5. Leather leaf. The darker one is LV cherry Speedy 25.

a) slimmer, hole is bigger.

b) LV letter stamp is very similar, but not as deep? Not sure if this counts or not.

b) Stamp of 30 on the Back side is not as deep.

6. Lock.
a) Smaller, longer, thinner, with rough engraving.

b) different lock holes, numbers read from different direction. (Even though the key also works on my authentic Cherry speedy 25.)

7. Inside small pocket.

a) doesn't have water proof layer.

b) Trimming is rough. Real one is cut in petals.

c) Leather of the Opening has a shadow brownish line as on real LV straps. But real one doesn't have this line.

8. Interior material.

a) feels like has Nylon, not the rigid canvas.

b) Trimming is Nylon strap, thin, rough. not cotton strap.

9. Handle. Darker one is Cherry speedy 25.

a) wider than real ones. Feel more rigid than other speedy and even the Azur Salya. The longer handle is from LV Azur Salya is from my cousion, bought from store, for sure a real bag.

b) Handle folded ends are wrinkled, real ones has no wrinkles.

c) Handle ends joint the hard ware are cut too narrow, real ones are wider, straight down. The hardware is smaller.

d) Handle seams are thinner, and faded. The Cherry speedy is much older but haven't faded yet.

8. Stitches.

a) Handle inside has small stitches, not clear, not the same as outside stitch.

b) Handle folded ends have rough stitches, thread color is different.

c) Interior, the stitches are not the right pentagon shape, leather tags not symmetrically arragned. Real bag has the stitches in perfect pentagon shape, with leather tags symmetrically arranged.

9. LV letter prints on the exterior.
Too clear. Real one shows uneven surface.

Real Azur Salya:

wow... this totally sucks. i think you should reveal the forum member, has the member logged in since he/she sold you the bag? is he/she an active member of this forum? and have you brought this up with the mediator?

the envelope thing was already a dead giveaway that it's a fake but good eye on everything else you noted.

definitely fake! hmm it seems there are a lot of damier azur fakes in Canada. Another forum/community I'm in just posted asking about authenticity on a damier azur speedy as well (and it was fake) and the member was located in Canada.

Nevermind. I found out who the seller is and just noticed that he/she tried to sell another one earlier this month. How often does someone come up with TWO of the same authentic bags within a 6 month period? Quite rare.

I really hope you get your money back in a timely manner. And you should leave appropriate feedback.

btw I think it's awesome how you are taking responsibility even though you had no idea the bag was a fake. *HUG*

I am sorry that you ended up with a fake LV from an HF member. Hopefully you can work something out with the other person and that they will do the honorable thing and refund you. It was also cool seeing the differences between the fake and real LV bags.

Thank you all for the support. Since the seller hasn't replied my refund request yet, I prefer to keep his/her name. But like mello_yello_jen said, it's not hard to find out.

I contacted the seller about this. But he/she said the bag is bought by her friend in LV store, and said it's real. He/she didn't admit (or didn't know) it's a fake.

I reported to the mediator already, and filed claim through paypal also. I'll have to ask for credit card chargeback if the seller refuses to refund.

Other than these, is there any other actions I can take?

Sorry, and thanks again.....

You're a great person ShoppingAmaze and I hate that this is happening to you =( Very honorable thing for you not to mention the seller's name yet.

Did you ask the seller about why she/he had another one up for sale earlier this month? Just going by that alone (that the seller had another one up for sale within such a short period of time) I get the feeling that the seller knew it wasnt authentic. My apologies if the seller was duped as well.

I've purchased from the LV store recently and my friend currently works at a LV store and those green envelope thing NEVER came with LV purchases. The sticker is all wrong too.

It's good that you filed the claim through paypal because this way the money in their account. If the seller refuses to issue you a refund, go to mypoupette to get an authenticity letter since Paypal will need it and it'll probably be beneficial for your credit card chargeback claim too. I'm not sure what else you can do at this moment =(

Honestly, I dont know why you're apologizing. We're here for you!!

Edited: His/her

No reply from the seller!! What Can I do if she doesn't refund?

It seems like another member also got a fake from this seller. She got a fake Gucci wallet.......

I think it's fair that since the seller hasnt responded that you should out the seller because I also noticed he/she is selling stuff in the new mall. Did you leave feedback yet? Neg that person and then post a comment in his thread (or if comments are disabled in the new mall, talk to a mod and get the thread removed) regarding authenticity.

What a scamming scumbag.

Regarding the paypal thing, escalate it to a dispute and if nothing happens with paypal, do a chargeback.

I remember when this bag was originally posted and I was suspicious, but I didn't say anything. I was afraid because I felt that I didn't know enough about LV and I thought if it was fake someone would have said something. I'm so sorry this happened to you.
Before doing any chargebacks or feedback, wait to hear from the seller. The seller will be less than willing to send any refunds if you already leave feedback.
We are working on this.

The Accessories mod, the mediator, myself, and a few others are on top of it.
The seller needs to refund you immediately if she/he wants to maintain a decent reputation on this board. So sorry Ling. I hope the original seller does the right thing.

The first sales thread was locked because it used simply a stock pic. The original seller posted a new thread shortly thereafter with the appropriate pics and it was sold fairly quickly. So I don't think TWO bags were actually sold on this forum.

when i first saw this listing, i was hella suspicious becuas the LOUIS VUITTON stamp etc on that outside tab is quite deep and short/stocky. the real ones arent that deep. but i didnt say anything bc i wasnt positive.

compared to my damier speedy though
and LV never come with those green envelopes anymore. at least to my knowledge. maybe they did in the past but they dont anymore for models within the past few years.
Louis Vuitton never had green envelope.. not ever to my knowledge, and they don't even like putting things in envelope. Especially Louis Vuitton SA, they hate those carebook and tags and stuff, some of them even throw them away when packing the bags for customers, definitely not putting them in any kinda green envelope.

As for another Damier Azur Speedy 30, the thread was locked very recent though, ya, by just skimming thru the pictures, i knew it was fake, dust bag, orientation of the LV squares on the damier, color, the green envelope, key box, key and even the sticker on it... and the tissue that seller used to stuff the bag, definitely not vuitton or eluxury.. super wrong. Another thing, the seller took very bad pictures, bad angles and lighting and stuff. Normally when one tries to sell something, he/she would try to make very good pictures of the item right in the middle, as stand-out as possible right?

Very sorry about this ShoppingAmaze but ya, i would wait to hear from the seller before doing charge back or anything like that. If the seller still ignores you, as he/she just logged on this morning, then you should do the other steps. Also, great job on distinguishing the difference, that's very great and now everyone also knows to watch out. Good work!!!

Good luck with the situation.

So, if you guys see something and you think its fake, please REPORT IT. All of the mods here arent experts on every single brand so its very helpful if people speak up.

has the seller been selling anything else brandy brand or in the past? i remember they use to list shit without pics or list in wrong locations (if i am not mistaken) - like they were trying to get away with it as fast as possible....

I am 99% sure I have figured out the seller and I have noticed the same thing. I thought it was odd because they were a HF member for a long time and should know the forum rules about where to place items for sale, stock pictures etc.
yeah totally!!!!!!! if its the same person we're all talking about, they have like 10+ feedbacks and have listed clothes correctly so I dont know if this was an honest mistake....

maybe they got duped or didnt know any better because green envelopes scream fake and they still listed the item showing the envelopes?

or they know its fake but needed it to look legit and posted those envelopes but didnt know that they never came with envelopes.

i hope you get your money back!!!!!

Well, a lot of members sell brandy brand things.. I don't think we are talking about the same seller in this instance.
is it the seller that has their thread selling an Azur locked? I did a search and it was the most recent and locked...1-2 locked threads.

Ohh! Wait, are we talking about the same seller? I just did a keyword search and noticed the seller attempted to list another azur speedy on Nov.3rd and ShoppingAmaze bought from this seller in June. I thought that was weird but I'm glad that he/she didnt sell the 2nd speedy he/she listed.

And then I just found that the seller attempted to sell azur speedy 30 outside of HM on Nov.15th, interesting.

Either way, the seller has logged on recently so ShoppingAmaze, if you havent already, you should escalate the Paypal dispute. Good luck!!

btw no blame on the Mods!! *HUGS* we love our mods!

^That is the seller I am talking about in my past post. I just thought it was odd.
