Guys in Uggs? - Page 2

I see it all the time, but I live in Lake Tahoe!

preface: i in no way support the wearing of ugg boots by males.

but in my browsing for boots on zappos, i have noticed that ugg makes boots specifically for men...
they still look like shit, but they're out there.

I want to start a petition against the wearing of Ugg boots in public by both sexes. *shudders* They were a trend that was supposed to die a long time ago...along with those shaggy clydesdale/sasquatch boots.

No way would I let hubby wear them lol. I love mine though they are so perfect in the winter that I find myself wearing them everyday!

If he is a flaming homosexual it's still wrong. Uggs on guys (even women) is just wrong. It's not about their fashion sense, it's about the lack there of.

in australia ugg (originally spelled ugh) boots have been around since the mid to late 70's...both sexes wear them. although most of us aussies own a pair, we only wear them indoors (out of public view) just like slippers...wearing them as a regular boot/shoe in public is reserved for rednecks...

I saw a guy in the grocery store wearing uggs. If I had a camera, I would have chased him down for a pic. It looked awful.... but then again the holey sweat pants and faded red t-shirt didn't help matters.

^^ took a pic of a guy in the grocery store wearing crocs, red sweatpants, and a once-white-now-sort-of-yellow beater.

nice.

yeah, ugg boots or 'uggies' were the staple footwear for 'westies' and 'bogans' (oz equivalent of white trash) for both sexes back in the day. Flannelette shirt, tracksuit pants and a Mullet completed the look.

pretty sure this is how DO still dresses.

it depends on if the guy was gay enough to pull it off. for example, i saw a middle-aged asian man wearing uggs with his $24 costco brand jeans.

NO

personally, i want a pair of mocassins (sp), but I would hesitate to don a pair of boots

I have 4 pairs of Uggs and find them really comfortable. If jeans are worn over them you hardly notice them anyway
post #40 of 50
Don't laugh at me but I really want a pair of Uggs. I would never wear them with jeans tucked in though, so that should count for something -- I'm just the type of person that can afford to lounge around in pricey slippers. Which I think they are meant for because they're pretty bland but really comfy boots... and did I mention, I hate girls in flat boots of any kind. I wish I could create a portable attaching stiletto so I can run around the mall and stick them on every pair of flat boots... or a wedge cut, wedges... ewww...

truer words have not been spoken.

a guy wearing Uggs looks absolutely disgusting. nine times out of ten they seem to be wearing them ironically which makes it even worse.

My husband refuses to let me buy a pair for myself, so I can't imagine him ever getting a pair, but IMO they look pretty good on this model on the website:

I think if they're shorter and more rugged and less puffy, it's not so bad.

I saw men's uggs today at Marshall's. They were sand colored in sizes 10 and 11 and were $99.99.
WHAT?! I just bought mine today for 158?! GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry.

And yes they maybe FUGLY and they're hella expensive slippers and I would never be caught dead with jeans tucked in them outside, but right now my feet feel like they're on clouds.

Screw UGG... if you gonna wear that, may as well sport these:

women shouldn't wear them either.

also, ugg slippers are perfectly fine, because your slippers aren't leaving the house (i hope?)
Hi avatar! But you would be sooo warm and fuzzy in Uggs!
hi the begret. i am sure i would. i'm sure i would also be much more comfortable in sweatpants or a nice juicy velour track suit. doesn't mean i'm wearing them.

Actually, I don't wear sweatpants out of the house (or Uggs) I feel like I'm in my underwear...
Anyways, I am not that warm and fuzzy myself.
