i still LOVE the new mall!! I find that on the weekends I am home, I am constantly looking for new items to list simply because I really like the format, it makes me feel i have my very own store =)

picture, item title, and price all in one easy view. unless youre interested or want more info, you dont have to click anything and it's all on the browsing page. maybe i just like using the comp but I didnt, and still dont, find the new mall confusing at all.

the search feature is quite handy as well for those who know what they want!

i honestly cant get used to this mall, find it hard to find what may interest me, and feel that others may have the same problem.

it is with this mindset that i perhaps may eventually post my items in this new format.

I still think finding a view which replicates the old mall but coming from the old mall would be a good idea. Kind of how ebay lets you view results in list view or gallery. Now we have gallery but people have been using list for 3 years and they're used to it...

thanks for all the props and the suggestions. eventually we will rehire the programmers and do some tweaks to the mall. we need to eventually decide what is necessary in HonestMall v1.1.

aka should we have comments? what about a old mall view? price shown in old listings?

so yea, feel free to comment with your top three requested changes.

we are still tweaking and improving the server right now. so that is priority number one. (Getting the mall to work in Internet Explorer used to be number one, but I am using IE right now and most of the IE problems seem to have been fixed) but after we get the site a bit snappier we are interested in seeing what other changes could help improve the mall even more.

^Yes, but that doesn't mean we can just add in a comments field. There is programming involved and if a comments field can't be added in without causing a thread to be bumped, then that idea may have to be nixed for the time being until an alternative can be decided upon.

top things I can think of:
#1 flawless performance in all browsers
#2 comments/seller FAQ
#3 simple view, text view for Cellphones/PDAs/Blackberrys and dinosaurs
#4 Putting a suggested listing format (size, inseam, brand, cut, wash, condition, etc) underneath the title box... I personally hate "LOOK! BRAND NEW GORGEOUS JEANS! BUY NOW!" as a title.
#5 Cleaning up the posting new item form, including a field to specify USD,CAD,EUR,GBP.
See ex: (Add Item)
#6 Authentity Guarentee checkbox to "sign off" on full refunds for non-authentic items accidentally posted.

havent posted in ages and def angered alot of people on the forum about my rants on threadcrapping but i just want to give props to Dave for finally changing the mall. It looks awesome and I look forward to selling on here again.
havent read through the whole post yet so I dont know its going to be changed but I do think comments are a good idea but should be either approved by the seller or managed by the seller (meaning they can delete unwanted comments). Other than that, a watch list is good but i would consider it to be more of a "favorites" list so you can navigate back to it easily if your unsure if you want to buy it right away. item bumping and html formatting are also key. other than that, looks great!

excellent work with the new mall!

Hey all,

It's been forever since I've used this site, but after listing a few items to sell, I just want to commend everyone who worked on the new mall on how easy it is to use. Particularly being able to upload photos so quickly is a real time saver, and it's very user friendly. It takes some getting used to as far as searching and browsing goes, but again, I'm very much in favor of the new format. Nice work!

I have to admit that it took some time to get used to the new mall but I like being able to upload pictures from the listing instead of using photobucket.

My suggestion would be to make it possible to to display more than 10 items per page. It is difficult to constantly change pages, maybe 20, 30, or choice of the viewer?

-Then again, I am the type of dude who has 200 items show up on ebay, google, etc.

Love the column searches & preview pics.
What would be most helpful to me would be a column-search by size.
I hate having to scroll/scan looking for my size, I think this would be a huge help!
