They're not bad. Keep them if you got a good deal on them, send them back if you paid more then 3 digits for them. Although, if they Steve's, you probably got them for a decent price.

From my experience, Steve Maddens are not that well built. Quality seems sub-par to the touch alone. Even though my black pair of Maddens had a 4 year run, the wear and tear on the heel and leather tells me never to come close to another pair ever again...unless of course they can up the quality factor by 5 to 10.

If it feels flimsy to the touch, then they should be returned. I now predominantly check the soles first, then the leather second. If the sole is not sturdy, absolutely consider returning them.

EDIT: You ought to check quality well made shoes first. There's simply no comparison.

i like them. i have something similar but they suck hard (good thing they were only 8 bucks).

again, I do like the shoes, but I'm more enchanted by the 10lb DBs on the "sheep skin" rug. Something about that just makes me giggle.

^I think they're 20 lbs to be exact. I think the poster needs to return those shoes and increase his dumbbell weights instead.



But again, I don't like the shoes because of potential quality issues. It also depends on your shoe rotations though.
