So I yelled at my boss and this is what happened....

I was mad because I thought my bosses (the owners of the company that I work at) were making the wrong decision. I yelled at one of them because he tried to say he had 60 years experience and thats why I was wrong, I yelled and said that his experience didn't matter at all because I had FACTS that proved otherwise. He got mad and he left for the rest of the week (this was on Tuesday morning)....

Then today...the other guy who is at my level tells me that from now on he and I have to agree on what we are going to do then bring it to my bosses because my bosses aren't here enough to make the decisions correctly. WTF? The other guy was chosen before I ever started to work here to take over one of my bosses positions when my boss retires (RUMOR)....so it feels like now he is already moving into this position where I'm a little ticked because I never even had a chance at that position myself as he was hired for that position way before I ever came here....I know this is my pride getting to me!! I'm just mad because I have a more impacting job than he does where if there is a conflict in my area of expertise it is higher profile (I'm Engineering and R&D Manager and he is Finance, Sales and Marketing) And I'm mad because if my bosses had him chosen for that position they should have told me in the first place...I just don't feel like I've had any time to adjust. I want my boss to stand up and do his job and be here like he should instead of pushing this off on my co-worker....I mean what now I have 3 bosses, I have no clue what is going on?

Its like he can't stand up to me so he gets my co-worker to do it for him? WTF??

Okay that is my rant if its too long for you to read, get over it!!

I don't really see what you're talking about, but IMO, yelling at your boss can never have a great ending. It shows an extremely great amount of disrespect.

Politics, It's never fun. Honestly, for the most part I think the "front end" office Sales/Marketing always get paid more and are client facing and the "back end" office just gets ignored sometimes. Even though the front end could never survive without the support of the back end... dunno if that makes sense, it's how it was explained to me ;D

He probably can't face you because he has his pride as well ;P
And maybe he know's you're right, but is making the decision for other reasons? *shrug* not sure about the circumstances... Then again, some people who have been in the company for a long time tend to think like "it's been this way, it'll always be this way".

Yelling is NOT going to help your situation. In fact, it will make your bosses lose any little ounce of respect they may have for you. You're an adult, life's not fair, grow up. I'm surprised you weren't fired right there and then.

I can't help but laugh in disbelief at your self-righteous attitude. You yourself said he came FIRST. What the hell was the company supposed to do....hold that position for the little princess that was (unknown to them at that time) going to come along in a while?

I just want them to own up to it then, if they decided he's going to take my bosses position now, then why don't they announce it? We were all yelling back and forth, it wasn't just me yelling and they curse and stuff where I don't....so its not like I am the only one who yelled. I mean they didn't even have the BALLS to tell me that he was now going to be my boss, he told me? I mean WTF?

Its all because my one boss isn't around enough to make a good enough decision when I ask for one, so basically he needs someone to do it for him. I was asking them to make an informed decision, where they won't because they aren't around enough to decide what the best thing to do is. UGH I'm just pissed, I might just tell them I refuse to work for him unless he is being promoted, which is probably what I am going to do.

If they make a wrong decision about the company that might bring the company under I feel like yelling about it, I let them decide something about 6 months ago then I watched them layoff about 15 people because they made the wrong decision where if they would have listened to me they wouldn't have had to lay off those people. Im extremely upset right now...

although i do agree that the onions on the wendy's double stack are a nice touch because they're easier to remove than the onions at mcdonald's i also am on your boss's side that the little grainy onion things are a staple at mcdonalds and individual franchises should not be able to switch to the onion slices based on any kind of survey you did outside your restaurant while wearing an onion costume.

I have NEVER yelled at anyone at work before until I came here. But I have also NEVER been cursed at before at work, if they won't be professional, it is VERY hard for me to act like it as well. Would any of you if you were being yelled at, what would you do, just sit there? I've had one of my bosses yell at me at the top of his lungs and curse and point his finger in my face because he disagreed with what I thought we should do, then two days later he changed his mind and agreed with me.....I am just sick of arguing with experience versus science...they think experience can disprove science...

I like this saying "Just because I'm an Engineer I can't change the laws of physics"

If I was the boss, you'd be fired in a heartbeat. Plus I probably would enjoy it very much.

the problem here is that there is a lack of respect with all parties involved...your bosses in you opinion arent showing any leadership skills...i can understand your frustration...i have been in your situation...its only going to get worse

it becomes a toxic environment, and it will affect your well being...if you cant resolve it,i would quit...i know its hard...but if you are not happy at work, its going to affect your family life

In these smaller companies, keep your ears open for signs of financial problems so you don't end up hung out to dry.

Yes. Let him look like an asshole getting loud. It's completely unprofessional to lose your temper at work no matter what the cause is.

Maybe you should start your own company? Honestly, if an employee of mine yelled at me, they would be fired on the spot.
