For someone with stocky legs and thick thighs, what jeans (cut, wash and brand) do you find to slim the thighs most?

Probably something that doesn't hug or accentuate them. I'd say bootcuts or a slightly relaxed cut. But this is just a guess

I really like straight leg jeans for slimming down the thighs. I mostly wear Diesel and I would recommend either Lowky or Liv's.

Both cuts work well on me and I've got proportionally large thighs and I'm pretty short so I think these would be good options.

duno about specific brands b/c everyone has her own faves, but i'd say yeah, darker washes and straight/bootcut
i have thunderthighs and tapered/skinny looks criminal on me and flare also accentuates the thickness of my thighs i think...i prefer bootcut with a little stretch

It all depends on your build. Ideally, you want your leg from the knee up to balance out as best as possible with your leg from the knee down. For curvier girls, a bootcut is usually the way to go. For smaller and/or petite girls, a straight leg is probably the best bet, as hisbisus has already pointed out. If you're small, you don't want to get overwhelmed by too much fabric.

I think my favorites for thigh slimness are the first pair of Diesels I ever got, my Keate 81M's. It's partially the cut and partially the japanese denim, at least I think.
