What's up. I was suprised to see this thread. 72D is an awesome wash, but I rarely hear anyone else who likes it. This is me in my Viker 72D. I have worn the about 15 times without washing. The material has become really soft.

Thanks for all the info billbones. I don't let my 72Ds get out too often just because I'm trying to keep the lap creases. They're so damn good when you get 'em off the rack!

hey Im not sure if you guys have seen these or not, but the color and creases are like the ones mentioned for 72 D if not more creases and darker color, I think most of the difference is the fact that this come all wrinkled and distress, this are one of my favorite pair of Zathans right now. Despite the distressing the when I first got them, they were really hard ..but I love them.

It looks much better in your worn pics then it does on websites. The blue doesnt look as deep and the crinkles dont come out as well..

^^ It's about time 72D caught fire! For some reason the wash got a tepid reception... maybe because everybody's written-off Zathan to begin with.

Artificialwings...THANKS...I've got about 30-40 wears around now and am looking forward to more wallet wear for sure...the rigidity at this point has left the lap / knee area fully...only left in the boot part of the leg really...

@Casiotech: I can tell you that from wearing these jeans 60 something times, they do break in. And they break in quite nicely. My pair is incredibly soft now and has cooled off to a lighter shade of blue and a much better less nuthugging fit. I thought about buying some dry selvage but honestly, the fit of the diesels is much more flattering than any of the nudies that I've seen.

Yeah I got turned off by nudies after I found out a Woman designs them. Not to say I don't own a bunch of them.

You would think a rock star denim label would be designed by some burly Scandinavian man but no..

Anyways, the Diesels smelled funny in the store. Were they starched? The best diesel (closest to dry) would be my favorite 88z wash. They are a 1 rinse and are easy to break in.
